Poor Chizzy. Gaffes like that are not going to help him psychologically.

This is painful viewing. Only one shot at double which was the bull in 4 sets of darts

Poor Chizzy is getting murdered. He just wants to get off the oche and hide.
    Taylor is ruthless.

The look on Taylor's face walking off after the 5th said it all.

All over in 1 hour. He's a machine.

That has to be the shortest final of all time. Very disappointing, I'm not sure what happened to him. Taylor deserved the title though, well done.

At least everyone will get home in time for Love/Hate.

V disappointing final. 18-2 in legs says it all

A terrible end to a terrible tournament.

Once MVG and Lewis were beaten it was always going to be a Taylor cruise.

Wade has never beaten taylor in knockout and was brutal last night.Chisnall gave possibly the worst performance of any player in a major darts final.

The venue only looked about half full tonight aswell. No wonder as Taylors reputation is arguably at its lowest level ever.Getting sour with MVG at the 2012 GSOD, The Barney incident in the 2013 PDC WC SF, the 'double 12' against Winstanley in the summer, the humiliating ritual of getting players to sign the board every time he wins and then lashing out at during an interview last night.Compare that to the class shown by BDO world masters winner Stephen Bunting tonight.

An awful event though.Could well be the worst ever PDC major since Taylors dominance in the late 90s.The much hyped 'strength in depth' as mentoned by sky thousands of times as been laid bare by the last few events. An average Andy Hamilton has made the last 12 quarter finals in tv events. It says a lot.

The tournament has been stale for a good 3/4 years and 2013 could be the last. The crowds are way down from its 2007-09 heyday and the Taylor-Barney showdown that people hope for has now gone so the interest overall maybe has gone with it.

Plenty of other players are capable of beating Taylor, admittedly the double start does play to his strengths more than the other top guys though.

Most Irish people are only interested in the drinking up there so one game with work the next day is never going to be a full house.

What are you talking about, its much harder to call matches these days than it ever has been and more players are starting to win tv majors. Andy Hamilton is the number 6 player in the world and consistently averages 95-100. If hes average I dont know who you think is good.

i think it was a bad tournament but by no means the end of the pdc lol, calm down shockframe
ticket sales for all premier league and other tournaments is at a all time high, 9000 in the o2 this year ??
this was a poor showing all round, mayby the need to change from double start or move
to a smaller room to get some atmosphere going, either way it needs looking at
i dont think the players look forward to it much, the crowd know little to nothing about darts with the
strange boos at random times during games

No sport would be better without its greatest player, world champion and no. 1. Even if he is a bit of a grumpy old man. He still is far better in interview than many stars in other sports, like most footballers with their bland inane comments.

It's not Taylor's fault that he's still head and shoulders above the rest. Wade gave up in the semi's and Chizzy pretty much did the same yesterday. That's not his fault if they can't take heat.

It's disappointing to see such a crap final which was like watching a football team 6 nil up playing out time. But would taking Taylor out of the equation help even things up? I'm not so sure. The only really good match from last week was MvG and Chizzy. Other than that they were all mediocre.

Personally I think that without Taylor it's a mediocre enough league. I think MvG, Lewis on his day and Barney and the only top players. The rest are hanging onto their shirt tails and claim the odd scalp but it's all artificially hyped up and a lot more style than substance.

darts needs someone who is not afraid of taylor and beats his more often then not...grudge matches in major finals bring the drama, especially if taylor will get beaten quite a bit.

people are prob sick of him winning

So you think chizzys effort wasn't a disgrace. He never tried at all. If he has no interest in winning a final why bother throwing darts. There's enough losers in the game already.

Would agree with a lot of above. The buzz was not there, and the crowds were well down. Then again at 44 euros a pop on Friday night I wasn't surprised with empty seats both on the floor and tiers. The noise seemed to get lost with the curtains around the crowd to block off the full arena, which is huge. Always preferred the ballroom for atmosphere. A lot of poor games during the week. Enjoyed it as a darts fan but deffo not as good as previous years

Have you only started watching darts recently or something.

Taylor was far more dominant in years gone by than he has been in the past few years.

Why would he not try, does he hate money or something.

    You are making nonsense comments.
