Just flung a club into the water, not sure Nike will be too happy with that.

Not often you see Rory do something like that. This little game can drive us amateurs nuts so I can only imagine the frustrations these guys must go through.

Very childish of him. I've often wanted to do it but I'm not a pro golfer on tv!!

Really? He'll be all over the sports pages tomorrow and in his Nike gear. No such thing as bad publicity...

Have to say I find it hilarious anyway. Can't say iv never done it in the 16 or so years iv being playing golf.

Unfortunetly the frustration just gets the better of us at times.

Ridiculously good second shot on the par 5. Got the fairway metal to stop so quick

Thrown tons myself. Even threw one up into a tree one time, had to throw another club up to try and knock it down LOL. Ah can laugh about it now ;)

Anyone who throws a club is a spa. Sorry.

No need to apologise. Ive long since grown out of it. It was very silly. A playing partner turned round to me one day and said If I ever threw another club he wouldnt play with me anymore. Made me realise how much of a tool I was.

Fair play to him - nowadays - lads would come on line to give out :P

No - Its my day off - it is my game of golf.

Go away from me - golf is to get away from that ****,

Anyway - I'm a bit too truthful for my own good.

Can't believe Rory did that, Shocking.
Childish behaviour from Worlds No. 1

I threw the driver out of bounds off the first tee in Mitchelstown at the end of my real shot. Just left it go at the end of my swing she sailed beautifully out over a 16 foot wall in full HD slow motion in front of a full practice green.

    Morto.

I know he's only in his 20s, but he really needs to grow up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭ForeRight

Terrible thing to do but he will be the first to say that after the round and he will apologise I've no doubt.

Another little lesson he will learn.

To be fair lads... if he was doing things like this frequently then I would agree with the childish comments etc. but he doesn't. In fact, I've only seen him lose it twice, the other one being toothgate.

The fact remains, he is a fantastic ambassador for our sport! He gives ample time for media and fans, charity and what he is doing right now for the Irish Open is to be commended. I'm sure he is already regretting what happened today.
