Last Friday he played Prince Buster and Enjoy Yourself in respect of his recent passing. Lilian Smith must have been moved by JC; she played the same track as well :)

So did Fiachna, Cathal, Ronan and the Arts Show over the last few days. Can't remember if Shay did.

He's refreshing in Irish radio, where we have so many poor DJs.

Mickey Bradley (Undertones) on Radio Ulster on a Tuesday from 8-10 gives him a run for his money. Excellent programme.

Fantastic tunes spilling out of the radio here. If only RTE was always this good.

Joe Dolan alongside Paul Simon, and yet it works.

Creedon seems to have very similar tastes in music to me. Great stuff.

It is a good show, but has been done many times before, when RTE had great shows on the old Radio 2 FM back in the 80's/90's when there was no such thing as a playlist.

like his show but really wish ' van the man ' became ' van the BAN ' on RTE , He's been on the playlist forever , he's got his pension, give someone else a chance.

Does anyone know the identity of the Jewish rapper Creedon played last week?

It was kinda skit-rap. I believe the song was 'kike on a bike', but I cannot find it anywhere. It wasn't setting out to be offensive or anything like that, despite the name. I think he was playing on the use of the N-word in rap by black artists.

Could ask JC but too shy too shy.

    Matisyahu?

That kinda exhausts my knowledge of Jewish rappers :)

    edit:

    Here you go

Kike on the Mic - Hip Hop Hoodies

(tracklistings for the shows are on the website for future reference..)

Fair play for having any knowledge of Jewish rappers! That sounds like him indeed (e.g. he's from New York) but I can't find him performing the song I liked, and seems less satirical.

I'll send the Creedon Show a text to confirm. It must be him, just a rare/new recording that JC came across.

edit: just saw your edit. Thanks very much! Much obliged.
