    You've seen Argo too?

Do you realise the US has been in near constant war for 60 years and has used chemical and nuclear weapons on several occasions, where as Iran hasn't attacked anyone in 200 years? The problem is Iran isn't supporting the Petrodollar by selling it's own oil in euros, which it has every right to do.

    You're either a troll or a fool.

2 U.S. Intelligence Officials Tell Obama It Wasn’t Assad
Posted on September 7, 2013 by WashingtonsBlog
    Cross-Posted from WarIsACrime.org ; originally posted at Consortiumnews.com
By Ray McGovern, a 27-year CIA veteran, who chaired National Intelligence Estimates and personally delivered intelligence briefings to Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, their Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other senior government officials
Editor Note: Despite the Obama administration’s supposedly “high confidence” regarding Syrian government guilt over the Aug. 21 chemical attack near Damascus, a dozen former U.S. military and intelligence officials are telling President Obama that they are picking up information that undercuts the Official Story.
    MEMORANDUM FOR: The President
FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
    SUBJECT: Is Syria a Trap?
    Precedence: IMMEDIATE
We regret to inform you that some of our former co-workers are telling us, categorically, that contrary to the claims of your administration, the most reliable intelligence shows that Bashar al-Assad was NOT responsible for the chemical incident that killed and injured Syrian civilians on August 21, and that British intelligence officials also know this. In writing this brief report, we choose to assume that you have not been fully informed because your advisers decided to afford you the opportunity for what is commonly known as “plausible denial.”
We have been down this road before – with President George W. Bush, to whom we addressed our first VIPS memorandum immediately after Colin Powell’s Feb. 5, 2003 U.N. speech, in which he peddled fraudulent “intelligence” to support attacking Iraq. Then, also, we chose to give President Bush the benefit of the doubt, thinking he was being misled – or, at the least, very poorly advised.

Mr Kerry, speaking in Paris, is in Europe to muster support for action against President Bashar al-Assad.
"Assad's deplorable use of chemical weapons crosses an international, global red line," he said.

    (BBC)

Any chance of some evidence there, Kerry? Or is that evidence "a matter of national security" or some such crap that wouldn't fool a 6 year old ??

    BBC:

The US accuses Mr Assad's forces of killing 1,429 people in a sarin gas attack on 21 August.

Didn't the US kill this many in the first 5 minutes of the bombing of Baghdad in 2003 and their justification was that the leader of that country had chemical weapons?

Syria crisis: al-Qaeda seizes village that still speaks the ancient language of Christ

A branch of al-Qaeda fighting in the Syrian civil war has seized one of the few remaining villages where the original language of Christ is still spoken, residents say.

Fighting raged through the picturesque mountain village of Maaloula, near Damascus, on Thursday, as the regime launched a counter-attack against the rebels.

"They entered the main square and smashed a statue of the Virgin Mary," said one resident of the area, speaking by phone and too frightened to give his name. "They shelled us from the nearby mountain. Two shells hit the St Thecla convent."

Maaloula, tucked into the honey-coloured cliffs of a mountain range north of Damascus and on a "tentative" list of applicants for Unesco world heritage status, is associated with the earliest days of Christianity.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10289944/Syria-crisis-al-Qaeda-seizes-village-that-still-speaks-the-ancient-language-of-Christ.html

A Maaloula resident said the rebels, many of them sporting beards and shouting God is great, attacked Christian homes and churches shortly after moving into the village overnight.

"They shot and killed people. I heard gunshots and then I saw three bodies lying in the middle of a street in the old quarters of the village," said the resident, reached by telephone from neighboring Jordan. "So many people fled the village for safety."

Now, Maaloula "is a ghost town. Where is President Obama to see what befallen on us?" asked the man.

Another resident who fled the village of 3,000 inhabitants earlier in the day said in a telephone interview that Assad's forces deployed on the outskirts of the village, while gunmen inside refused to allow anybody in.

He said the gunmen declined to allow fleeing people to take five dead bodies out of the village with them.

He said one of the churches, called Demyanos, had been torched and that gunmen stormed into two other churches and robbed them.

Most of the gunmen are foreigners, he said, adding that he heard different dialects, mainly of Tunisians, Libyans, Moroccans and Chechens.

Another resident, a Christian man, said he saw militants forcing some Christian residents to convert to Islam. "I saw the militants grabbing five villagers Wednesday and threatening them (saying): `Either you convert to Islam, or you will be beheaded,'" he said.

Radicals turn up in ancient (and defenceless) Christian village and start wrecking the place and killing people.

And not a word on our TV screens.

And these are the good guys the west is arming and funding with our tax money?

The media is obviously controlled and is pushing the war against Syria.

We dont need the media anymore, the truth can be published on the internet and shared all over the world (hence the reason i posted this news here).

But joe public still takes everything that's said on the news as gospel. It's amazing the amount of people I talk to about this who haven't a clue and just blindly agree with what the media us saying.

The fact that we are talking about it here and elsewhere is proof that the media stranglehold on the public's minds is fast eroding...

Are you aware they have paid trolls to try to smear any truth about such matters on the web.

    they are scared allright.

The only station showing that disgusting occupation of that Christian village and its terrified citizens was on Russia Today,it is a UNESCO site and the Americans cant bomb it

Nobody knows whats going on really, I wouldn't believe those videos either, have they even been verified? I also wouldn't be inclined to believe much of what sky or the BBC report either.

RT is nothing more than a propaganda machine for russia, worse than sky in my opinion for lies, and I can't even listen or watch Galloway as he's always been a fanboy and supporter to cruel and oppressive regimes.

There was a woman from the BBC News team interviewed on Moncrieff last week sometime, she was speaking about how social media is playing its part in the conflict and mentioned that there's an unemployed guy in Coventry who the BBC and other news agencies use to verify videos. I shit you not...

Apparently because he spends his entire days watching videos on YouTube, he's seen as somewhat of an expert on the matter. I almost crashed the car with sheer disbelief at what I was hearing.

I'll look for a link to the podcast.

    Here! - http://www.newstalk.ie/War-apps--new-technology-being-used-to-detect-gunfire

It's towards the end of the interview. He goes by the pseudonym of 'Brown Moses' apparently :pac:

I remember that during Iraq 2 a missle hit a shopping center in Kuwait,

Breaking news all day on all channels till they realised it was a mess up from the US end and the missle had just went off course. I don't think there was any fatalities or anything.

Anywho, about 6 hours later RTE 9 o clock news ran with the story again still saying that it was fired from Iraq and that it could be a scud.

that was the last straw for RTE news. I'd watch Fox before RTE now

He supported the Iranian regime, lying about the risks gay people face there by making absurd claims that homosexuals are not at risk of being executed which is just false.

He was also a fanboy of Saddam's Iraq and looked very friendly with Uday Hussein.

John Kerry looked very friendly with Assad and his wife at one point in time, and now he's one of the most vocal proponents of war against him.

saddam,Donald Rumsfelts old buddy,Iran haven't invaded or bombed 60 odd countries since Ww2,did he support that despot the Shah?

Galloway v the US Senate: transcript of statement

Testimony before the US Senate on May 17, 2005.

"I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns. I met him to try and bring about an end to sanctions, suffering and war, and on the second of the two occasions, I met him to try and persuade him to let Dr Hans Blix and the United Nations weapons inspectors back into the country - a rather better use of two meetings with Saddam Hussein than your own Secretary of State for Defense made of his."

To say George Galloway isn't cosy with regimes that conduct abhorrent human rights abuses and oppression is completely naive. The guy is a complete hypocrite and I should hope the more educated anti-West crowd don't take him seriously.
