I was reading in the evening standard that Warren Gatland is gambling the Lions do not lose a second row in the match because they have no specialist cover on the bench. Croft would come on to take over as the line-out target, while flanker Lydiate would pack down at second row for the scrums.

A gamble alright, was expecting Gray on the bench.

Think the aussies may win the 2nd test, and set it up nicely for next week.

I think Lydiate is the best choice at 6 to bring balance to Warburton and Heaslip in the backrow, he's brilliant at tackling around the legs and allowing his teammates to come in and force turnovers. Croft certainly doesn't have that in his locker and I don't think SOB is as good at it.

The referee that day was Joubert too.

Yeah don't be surprised if Warburton is Man of the Match tomorrow morning. He'll be with Lydiate all the way.

I have no fecking idea how tomorrows going to go. I've backed the lions strong to beat the spread, low to win by +12.

Rte preview going for aussies +12, rog on last word going lions +10, david wallace going lions by a score, paul wallace going australia by a score...

    Jaysus...

I'm expecting huge things tomorrow from our bash brothers 6 + 7 .... If warburton doesn't turn over at least two balls and make a complete nuisance of himself it will be tight. Lydiate is going to do what he does...thats a given.

I'm expecting a huge game from sexton, bod and davies....I think its their day to shine. I am not convinced the aussies centres are match fit and I think davies will run amok...at leat I'm hoping he will.

Already I'm bricking it, not looking foreward to tomorrow morning

Got a good feeling about tomorrow. Just moved into a new house today. Beds delivered this evening, and sleeping in it for the first time. Sky installed this evening. On a 46 incher. My brand new sofas are being delivered between 9 and 10 tomorrow morning. I'm stocked up with bacon, eggs and fresh bloomer.

It's all set up.....bring it on

Well good sir, that is the very definition of having all your ducks in a row.

The sofas will be late, the doorbell will go just as the game is starting to kick off.

On top of this, the sofas won't fit through the inside doors and you'll have to remove the frames to get them in.

At least that's what would happen if I was in that situation. :)

Australia by two tries; Lions wont get off the ground, struggle to put a few points on the board.

Won't see the match so hope Australia nick it to set up a grandstand finish next week.

want aus to win, so third game matters.

    Aussies by more than 12.

I saw nothing from the Aussies last week to even hint they can win this second test. They've lost important players, the Lions have a decent & fit SH in place to provide Sexton with proper ammo. Lions by at least 10 points.

We must have watched a different game, Australia if they had a kicker of note could have ended the game about 14 points up.

I'm starting to think Quinnell reads boards & is over emphasising his accent this morn.

Why is this not played in the MCG? MCG is a bigger ground surely it would sell out? Both MCG and Docklands Stadium are ovals so its like like the fans are closer in the Docklands. Any ideas?

I just cannot see The Lions winning this one.

We need a huge game from Dan Lydiate, he needs to tackle everything that moves today

I can't give you an answer, but the playing surface of the MCG is far bigger than that of Docklands, one of the manny odd things about Cricket is that Cricket Fields are all different shapes and sizes so you would be a bit further away (not anything to much distance wise), that's why they introduced Rope Boundries to try and get uniformity in playing area.

He will... Hes almost mechanical at it.

But we need an even bigger game from his foraging brother warburton. It will not be good enough today for him to simply keep hitting rucks. He will need to be on lydiates heels affecting turnovers or at least slowing significant play on the aussies.

If Joubert lets him, but I reckon we will see a good game from Warburton. I just worry about the tight 5.

Joubert can't stop him if hes legal.

Pollock had no problem stopping BOD last week.

I don't even think its certain Warburton will play behind the line. Last week he didn't. He might do the same this week. I don't think our defensive breakdown will be very important, nor is it an area Gatland will be overly concerned with. We have to adapt to SH rugby.

A legal openside flanker! That will be the day!

If warburton its quick enough there will be opportunities... Bod last week was illegal for his first penalty and that swayed pollocks view I think. Joubert will allow more of a contest today and warburton, if hes back to any decent form, should profit.

I'm hoping he has a great game, I think he will.
