Ethiad EY45 into Dublin this morning at 06:30 ish was sent to the Kerav hold for 2 laps while "De-icer-4" worked his magic on Rwy28.
    Haven't heard a runway de-ice in a long time.

I can't find the approach on FR24 for some reason.

So storm Erich is approaching fast tonight.

"one to possibly challenge that of St. Stephen’s Day 1998, Expect delays to flights from the main airports." - Irish Weather Online.

Could be interesting at both SNN and DUB.

    Boards discussion on Storm here.

    long-TAF: EIDW 261100Z 2612/2712 24012KT 9999 FEW015 SCT030 BECMG 2613/2615 17012KT BECMG 2615/2617 16018G30KT BECMG 2617/2619 16023G37KT BKN015 TEMPO 2619/2623 16030G47KT 5000 RA BKN010 BECMG 2622/2624 21025G38KT TEMPO 2700/2709 22030G47KT TEMPO 2704/2712 5000 SHRA SCT013 BKN018CB BECMG 2710/2712 24025G38KT

Most of the evening the wind is straight down the 16 runway until about 2200, when it may get interesting!

Should be interesting temporarily between midnight and 0900 tomorrow with gusts of 47kts 60 degrees off both of the closest runways, luckily it's going to happen at the quietest time, but will probably affect a few of the late arrivals if it happens at the earlier end of the forecasted period.

One of the foam tenders sits at the side of the active runway when weather is below certain conditions, don't know what the conditions are but it's been common for the past 2 weeks, they've nearly been out every day.

Did anyone hear the Delta transmissions to the tower earlier? When the ATCO asked if there was anything to report, the pilot replied "yeah, I need new underwear" just saw it doing the rounds on twitter, didn't actually hear it myself. If anyone can get a link to it, it would be much appreciated, I'm on my phone so can't get the link!
