I just called the Gamestop where I have my preorder (Henry St.). Guy told me they are def doing a midnight launch and its invite only. He said it could be paid on the night tho. Also said that they might not be doing their own bundles as all of their PS4's are already sold till January (wasnt sure about the last point tho)

Most tescos are open after midnight so I would guess first come first serve then but there will be a queue.

Taken from the Xbox pre order thread.

Tescos for launch day are receiving 200 consoles to be divided amongst Tesco extra stores ( Got this from manager employee in Dublin).

So that would be around 15 consoles per store if they are getting the same amount of PS4's

It is just Tesco Extra for XB1, so it will probably be the same for the PS4.

Got an email a few minutes ago from zavvi.com mentioning day 1 stock still available.

I'm not interested but maybe a few people out there are, I've never dealt with them either so have no experience, have heard varying reports though.

Just called into Smyths in Waterford, couple of points of interest.

Definitely having a midnight opening.

More importantly, they seem to have quite a few Knack bundles because no one seems to want them so it sounds like if you want a console on day 1 and don't mind Knack being bundled in with it, you still have a chance.

I have the PS4 pre-ordered since early June in Smyths, Childers Rd, Limerick so it will be available from launch day. I am not going to get either console on launch day as the titles don't interest me so I will hold off till next year. If someone wants my pre-order, let me know, I have just the 20 euro paid so that is all it will cost them.

I am holding out & hoping to pick one up in NYC when I am over there early December. Risky business but it be worth the saving if I get one, if not I'll wait till the new year.

One of the staff in XtraVision Finglas implied to me over the weekend that they think they could launch a special trade in on PS3's to coincide with the launch of the PS4. The details were sketchy but I just said I would put it up here. It could be something about nothing but to keep an eye on their Facebook/Twitter pages.

GameStop don't know what their at.

Got a text off them on the 9th saying that I would get the console on the the 29th.

Went into today to pay money off and they said I'm in the second batch.

Going in Wednesday to talk to the guy that sent me the text.

For the XB1 Gamestop are staggering the release for pre-orders, wonder if that is why they are saying you are on the second batch if it is going to be the same with the PS4, I have not got a call from the store or a text, but then again I ordered back in February.

The men and the women seem to have different story's,

When the text I had to ring then back and the even offered me tge KZ bundle with just the game,I would of taken it if i had to,

He said it didn't matter and I would defo have it on lauch date.

Which one is the manager in castlebar ?

If samapple doenst want I'll take it know someone who left it very late too preorder.

They have a new manager in at the moment, not sure his name, only been in a few weeks, the one I knew got promoted to up the chain.

It was Matthew that sent the text,so he's in Wednesday I'll go in and see what's the story,

Last month one of the girls took a deposit on the mega bundle but then the manger rang me and he said I couldn't have the mega but he would try his best to have one on launch for me,think he was foreign,this was before I got the text,I was thinking it was him who sent the text,his name was mattew.
