Is it too late to preorder and get one at launch? or even before christmas? Where would be the best place to order from and how much is the console going to cost? Im way behind on this generation.

Amazon.com should really only allow people who purchased the console review it.
Have been looking through the reviews and nearly half of them are 1 star but when you actually read the 1 star reviews it's becomes obvious that most of them are xbox fans who didn't even purchase a ps4 stupid really.

Just found out harvey norman have totally over sold/promised tge XBOX ONE launch. .. they were only too happy for me to cancel the 2 I ordered for my cousins today. Still 12-13 over sold...


BUT have been 100% reassured this has not happened with the ps4 launch and my post yestrrday is still spot on... lets hope so

Amazon is terrible for that. Also annoying is people reviewing blurays weeks before they are released.

Absolutely, but in defence of those reviewing the blurays, maybe they seen the films in the cinema, that's why they're giving their reviews

I was just in Smyths in Childer's Road in Limerick and they're definitely doing a midnight launch. I also have a list of the bundles they themselves are offering (I'm assuming this is the same for all Smyths). Obviously, you'd have to have already preordered the solus/Sony Bundle:

They also have a demo unit in store, which I got to play for a bit. The controller is really nice and comfortable, although I'm one of those apparently strange people that was equally as comfortable with a 360 or PS3 controller. I had a go of Fifa and Knack. Fifa is Fifa, although it was definitely set to easy. Knack for the few minutes I played seemed like a fun game, although there were a few camera issues. I could see it being a solid 6/7 in gaming terms, but that's only based on the short while I played it, so there could be other issues in other parts of the game.

Excellent. I would assume the offers will be in all Smyths stores, good to see people with bundles arent being ignored. I am getting the megabundle and will be picking up an extra game or two as well.

I'll have to get onto them again. Smyths customer care were beyond useless in trying to sort out the mistake they made unfortunately.

Hope to get the console+killzone+battlefield 4 deal, since I can't get the killzone mega bundle I wanted.

No new info on argos or tescos. I know people said untill a few days before the release no one will know but just wanted to check c if anything changed or any one hear anything different. Obviously someone somewhere knows something other than info getting realised a few days befor. Thanks

I went in and asked them about the above but the only one that they offered me was the Knack bundle for €440. Haven't decided yet whether to take it or not as I'm not too keen on that game. But again they couldn't tell me when I could pick up the console on its own for €400 or even if I'll get it before Christmas

They told me it be before Xmas when I ordered so afraid to change to bundle in case this is jepordised. Also noticed the bundle options given are different to what I see on site and have no prices !!
