Did you read the article? Most of the reasons are really stupid.

    5) The explosion of Krypton conjures up images from the mystical Kabbalah where the divine vessel was shattered and Jews were called on to perform tikkun olam, repairing the vessel and the world. No one did more of that than the Man From Metropolis.

    Er, yeah, sure...sound logic there.

    4) Clues mounted from there. “The world,” it reads, “endures on three things: justice, truth and peace.”

    Justice (Palestine)
    Truth (Irish passports)
Peace (pretty much their whole history)

I'm sure "Islamic news" will soon publish a similar article tongue in cheek explaining how Superman is really Muslim.

Then the Christians will follow suit and fights in Belfast will break out over whether he is Taig or Prod.

    Superman never played basketball either.

It is all starting to make sense now.

    Theres worce still:

" On Krypton, Superman went by the name Kal-El as in Isra-el and the prophets Samu-el and Dani-el"

Back home some people call me Elvis. By the same logic I'm Elvis.

Also "A last rule of thumb: When a name ends in “man,” the bearer is Jewish, a superhero or in this case both."

I hope he didnt get paid for this tripe.

it's Truth, Justice, and the American Way

Not that the American way involves much of either.

It might lessen the air of dignity the Orangemen try to create at their parades if the guy at the head of the procession was wearing a cape and red underpants.

You could try Nietzchean philosophy. With regard to the thread topic, fairly obvious that Superman would be an Agnostic or Atheist, at least with regard to Earthly deities.

I'm not much of a man for the comics, but isn't Superman meant to be the saviour of mankind, as opposed to someone who could bore someone to death with their hacked-together Internet philosophy?

As Michael Shermer put it "any sufficiently advanced ETI is indistinguishable from God", so yes he could be viewed in Messianic terms by ordinary folk. That says nothing about Superman's personal views however.

Actually Jerry Siegel an Joe Shuster, the creators of Superman were both Jewish. Superman's origin story of being sent to be raised by other parents has much in common with the story of Moses also. It doesn't seem unusual to me then he would be considered Jewish.

It's just a bit of fun, that article. Though I did hear the Kal-El = Hebrew "Voice of God" story before. I doubt that Kal-El was circumcised, since the knife that could get through that foreskin probably doesn't exist even on Krypton.

I wonder whether the new movie shows what happens when young Clark discovers masturbation? His bedroom ceiling must look like a huge slice of Emmental cheese. If he and Lois Lane ever get it on, can you imagine the carnage he would wreak on her frail body? (More on this topic here: Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex.)

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

―Oscar Wilde predicting Social Media, in The Picture of Dorian Gray

Yep old news that he has jewish influences...the bulletproof aspect comes from either Siegal or Shusters father being shot during a store robbery. The book of Lies gives a good insight into his history.

As a baby on his home planet superman is normal.

It's a bit of fun. Ludicrous thinking of an ET having an Earth religion.

    I don't think so.

He went back in time to save Lois Lane.
Didn't go back to kill Hitler.

I think Clarke Kent is an Eastern Orthodox Jew. But Superman is a methodist.

Lois Lane is a member of the Cargo Cult.
