The V10TDI is an animal too. I think I'd prefer it over the W12.

    I'm very anti-TDI. :p
    Only the petrol will do.

    2004 3.0 V6 A8 (Petrol)
    101k miles
    Plenty of NCT
€1,494 tax (bit better than €1,808)

Price: €5,600 - bit above budget, but still - lot of car for the cash

Youd think there would be plenty of room in an A8 for 2 kids.

Never knew they came in 3.0, always thought it was a 3.7.

Worse again the newer A8 start from 2 litre!

I've seen a couple of Phaetons for sale before on carzone, both were LHD though! This one is a rare treat so.

Didn't Matt Simis on here say he had a v10 TDI one at one point? I would say that car with a v10 TDI would be a beast and a half!

Who told you that?? Minimum engine size is 3.0.

They make an A8 Hybrid now with a 2.0 TFSI engine.

    147g/km - 390 tax on an A8 is impressive.

He did say that he thought the 4.2 V8 was the sweetspot in the range.

Impressive? A 2l 4-pot engine on what is supposed to be a flagship executive car? Sic transit gloria mundi

Certainly from a reliability prospect anyhow. There's been a lot of the V10 Tdi's that have shown up on ebay with engine failure.

It's an extremely heavy car, so it really does need torque. The 3.2 petrol must be a depressing drive.

I did, though the V10 is an experience all to itself, second time round Id try the petrol V8. Saying that, a EUR6500 semi-economical V6 TDI Phaeton as an everyday car.. Id be all over that if I live in Ireland still. You will not find one for that price anywhere or something of its caliber or "family genes".

Nothing in this thread touches it nor likely ever will in value per Euro. Its the best kind of freak.

Great value at 28k it has surprisingly high mileage for such a barge, ultimate barge though. .

BackRoads.ie is -> that way. They might have 28k to spend.

The engine probably turned itself inside out from too much torque :P

    1986 560 merc amg

That car is epic. Doubt the price includes VRT though, although i'd imagine it wouldn't be too much for a car that old.
    Would love it.

    You seem happy about it?

Financially forcing all of us to drive small engined sh1tboxes because some nutjobs have convinced our legislators that CO2 is bad for us?

That we are running out of fossil fuel in the next few years?

Can I do it from abroad.
