I'm just looking at Felix and Poppy asleep at either end of the sofa. Very sweet and the first time I've seen that happen. The only downside is that Felix is deliberately taking Toby's spot on that sofa. He never had any interest in it before Toby started sleeping there.

Seems like I am making some progress with my boys and their fears with other dogs. I am so so so so proud of them for their courage and openness today when dealing with a couple of doggies they interacted with. I was beaming when I left the park today.

I was watching Molly playing on the stairs with Jazzy and Poppy. Since she was in the middle and Jazzy was at the top of the stairs while Poppy was at the bottom, she couldn't decide whether to gallop up the stairs or risk running past Poppy. I was stood in the hall with my face against the bannisters, so she decided to climb through the bannisters onto my shoulder and then jumped down on the floor:D Clever girl:)

We have a fence up to cordon off a grassy area that keeps flooding. It's not particularly high, some of the bigger dogs can still jump over it with ease, it's moreso to stop it being used as a muddy racetrack.

Anyway, yesterday next doors cat was torturing the greyhounds and the lurcher by running up and down along the back boundary and the lurcher jumped the fence to follow it. I called him over to the fence and asked him to 'hup' back over it. I did it in the usual "C'mon, hups, hups!!" encouraging type way. From about 100 metres away Benson comes charging over and sails over the fence into the cordoned off area!:D. Then he comes mooching looking for a treat as he learned how to do 'hups' over fences while doing a bit of agility training. Bless him.

Twitch (long haired syrian hamster) stepped on his 'skirt' today and freaked himself because he couldn't move.

Honestly, he's cute but soooooooooo stupid!!

One of my piggies, Skylar (who is actually the more ginger pig in the house in the picture above) has been a bit "off" the last few days, and on Monday he developed severe diarrhoea so I had to rush him to the emergency vet (I weighed him before I brought him and his weight was down 10% on three days' previous!). My wife stayed home from work yesterday to nurse him and syringe-feed him every three hours, and I got up in the night last night to feed him, and this morning when I woke up he was in the middle of a big pile of hay, munching away happily as though nothing was wrong and he has gained 40g! (which is almost half of what he lost). Yay! It looks like he's going to be fine :D

I think my dog felt a bit neglected.

I was gone all day monday. Met my idol, my favourite singer at Croke Park.

I was on such a high, even all day yesterday. I was like Garth Brooks this and Garth Brooks that.

My dog sat looking up at me with sad eyes. Then I told her that it was all about you too. And she leaped up on me and savaged me with licks.

She must have thought I forgot about her.

Davy is looking at the paper bag I just brought in with his soul in his eyes.
    He wants the bag.
    He NEEDS the bag.

Never thought cat pee would make me smile, but Dude went 15 (!) times today! His bladder is now the emptiest I have ever felt it. Hopefully he's just emptying his bladder fully today because normal function is returning. And when I brought him outside on his lead, Cream followed us and sprayed everywhere where Dude peed :pac:

When I'm cooking meat, I sometimes give the cats a little bit each.

At least, I thought I was giving them a bit each. I'd always given them their piece each, heard omnomnom noises, slight territorial growling in a "gerrof my meats" matter. All good.

I actually sat to watch them toy with their treats today. Davy has been eating both treats and Swanson doesn't actually appear interested at all - he just bats it around a little and leaves it there. "ugh, raw?! what am I? An animal?!"
Then Davy politely took Swanson's bit and ate it.

WEIRDOS the both of them. Seriously.

Poppy decided that she was getting attention one way or another this morning while I was on the laptop, so she laid on the back of the sofa with her head and front paws on my shoulder and went fast asleep:)

Rufus' latest thing is to get us a present. We would be sat in the living room and one of us call him. He will shot up, look for something and then bring it over for a game of pull. Could be an empty bottle, a sock or one of his pull ropes.

    I shouldn't laugh I really shouldn't
Had a lovely bath this evening after the girls went to bed
As usual I had an audience
My own 5 year old sat on the window sill as per normal
Diamond the male foster sat on the cistern
Sugar his sister sat in the sink
As I was dressing Sugar decided to investigate the toilet (for reasons known only to her)
So she stood gingerly on the rim and leant in (for some reason our toilet in the main bathroom is constantly refilling so I guess the trinkle of water attracted her)
Diamond from the cistern leant over to see what she was doing & decided to join her, hitting the flushing mechanism on his way down
    Toilet flushed
Sugar got such a shock she leapt in the air and ended up in the tub covered in suds
Diamond bolted out the door through the banisters & down the stairs like lightning
And Sooty.. I swear he was laughing

    I almost wet myself
    Poor Sugar
Took me ages to get her out of the tub too

    Not a happy kitty

Dude ran out of the litter tray before he was done pooping so it was hanging from him, Cream went to jump on him from behind but the poop dropped out of Dude causing Cream to panic, run into a table and go into puffy tail mode. This made Dude panic as well so they 2 of them tried to gallop out of the room. Unfortunately the door is closed so Cream ran head first into the door. Now he's creeping around the room as if he's scared of something. I think he's looking for the bit of Dude that fell off :pac:

I come home from work and sit on the sofa, only to have 2 dogs and three cats trying to sit on me at once!
My daughter was disgusted, she's been home all day sick and they only briefly acknowledge her presence to be let out/in, or if a bowl needed refilling.
    She was disgusted!

My guy was fascinated by a sudden hail and wind storm this morning. He went to the door as he usually does when he wants to go out, but obviously had no desire to get soaked. So he stood for a good 5 mins (door open, but him inside) watching the weather event with great interest, beard blowing in the wind.

I had my kitten Pangur spayed on Monday and I think she's finally getting back to normal. I had to bring her back to the vets on Wednesday because she wasn't eating (a painkiller shot, an antibiotic shot and a thermometer in the bum later she HISSED at the vet) and she's just been really quiet and withdrawn and upset in herself, not purring or playing or any of her usual behaviour.

This morning she woke me with a belt in the face to play with her. We played fetch with a hair bobbin for a wee while in bed, then I fed her downstairs and she guzzled her food. She's on my knee purring right now.

I'm am so happy and grateful and relieved that she is coming back to herself - I felt so sorry for her being so unwell and I'm really glad I have my demanding, energetic, affectionate wee diva back again. So that's why I'm smiling this morning :-)

We'll have Alli three weeks this coming Wednesday and I'm still amazed at how quickly she settled in with us. Even today any time she sees me her tail wags like crazy, it's a great feeling knowing how comfortable and happy she is :)

When we first brought Pepper home she kept chewing everything! Cables especially.. So everytime I would see her chewing something that she shouldn't I would give her a straw. Well now when someone has a straw in their drink she takes it and runs off with it.. So cute! She did it today and it is so funny watching her tryin to take the straw out of a glass with her paws!

my elderly dog, had what I call "an alzheimers day" yesterday. eyes vague, a bit anxious, constantly moving etc - then he started to vomit - thought OMG his gastric issue is flaring up again - frantic watching of him all morning (he nearly died at xmas - thought it was too soon to be starting again) BUT! full recovery yesterday evening, and back to normal today - just in from usual walk & had his breakfast

Knocked over a box of cotton buds in the bathroom when I was half asleep! Of course Pepper was in the middle of them straight away! When I was putting them back in the box she was taking them back out!

Toby decided that he likes to be brushed now. He really loved his brushing session, purring and winding around me for ages to keep me brushing him:)

I had my back to the living room door as I was trying to do a bit of trick training with my dog Jet... and Cosmo wasn't liking that he wasn't getting any treats, so he reminds me what I taught him to do... shut the door. :D

Peach has decided it's her job to re litter train Dude. He peed on the floor as he was coming in from the kitchen, she was down the far side of the hall and noticed him peeing so she ran up to him, hissed and slapped him 3 times on the side! It was like she was saying you do not do that there!! Then when he went in his litter later on she went up to him and booped noses as if she was congratulating him! (Dude lid down in shock, he always just flops onto his side when Peach comes near :P)

My boyfriends mom called us to invite us over for dinner on Sunday. We could hear her 2 cats playing & fighting in the background. Then she said that one of them is being too rough lately so she has to punish him. My boyf was like "what?" And the she says "yeah he gets a time out in the bathroom for 5 mins" too funny!

They are a pair of fatties too
