I can't! Going to the US for 3 weeks on the 5th! I would have too to bring the car for a good spin. It's running really well atm for some reason. I did give it a good clearing out at 6k plus last week though :-)

Probably be selling it in July because I got a pretty good job offer in the UK!

Got renewal from britton for 2 year ncb on the civic........ €1700.

My first year was €2000 and second year €1, 000

Pure genius I say. Putting the ncb onto the ovlov with fbd and getting a refund too for extra ncb bring down to under 1k quite a bit :)

Week off and travelling around Italy in a Fiat 500...over rated is not the word. Very disappointed, though I've driven it before it was on test drives for herself. Doesn't even sound nice when you thrash it, just whiney...although I suspect part of the whine is coming from the gearbox which isn't good at 13k km...

This is a rental so could be something to do with it, lots to like still. Maybe a better engine would sort it out. Seeing plenty of Arbath about and they really do look the business.

Big thank you to 166Man who cleaned my car in aid of charity this evening. Good job he did too.

2.5 million euro's worth goes up in flames :(

Mind you, the Mercedes and one of the Bentleys seems to have escaped damage free, bar maybe smoke damage.

Thanks man! Throw up some pics there!

Also had the most epic moment coming home from Wicklow this evening. Just passing Delgany heading Northbound and passing the slip road I notice a red convertible coming down it behind a truck. Turns out it was a UK reg Ferarri F430 Convertible. I slowed down a little and waited for him to swing in behind me. After he did just as he went to overtake I ran down my window and gave him the thumbs up! Just as I did that the driver noticed and dropped two gears and gave it the beans!

Never in my life have I heard anything like it. Even the way it got up the road it had me feeling giddy all the way home! I tried to keep up in my Ferrari (Alfa :pac:) but it...eh...wasn't happening...:D

An epic moment when you heard this bellow from the exhaust...:o:D

The engine I suppose. Thought it would be enjoyable to properly thrash but it's happier just to cruise along at about 2k.

One thing that has surprised me, although I'll hold off judgement until I brim it, is the fuel economy that is currently showing over 60mpg the last 400km since I picked it up.

On to San Marino after lunch, then tomorrow onto Modena and Maranello via Imola:)

Anyone mechanically minded have an idea how much fitting a set of front polybushes and lowering springs would set me back, 3h labour maybe possibly 4.

Feck lads. When I though my life is going better and more stable I got a heavy book slammed on my testicles in a form of Mentally retarded house owner owner of the house.

So few weeks ago she started bitching about ditch not cut... its a ditch in a property, which is not even seen or used by anyone. So I got it all sorted.
Now last week and this week my buddy stays in my place due to course in same town. He is on social welfare now. So to cut down on driving 100km trip each day he asked to move in for next 2months 1-4 days per week. He stayed 2 days last week and 1 day this week so far. She noticed that and told landlord to get 100eu extra rent for one more person living in the house... I freaking flipped. Almost 3 years living here, just Me and misses in 5 bedroom house. No parties, no drinking, almost no visitors, both working, I got my own lawnmover and trimmer to do lawn myself! What is really sad, that landlord itself is on my side and just cannot understand why the feck is she doing all that!!!
So I said to told landlord to tell her feck off, I will leave house if she wont cut the bull****. So Landlady got back to me and said, that she is still looking for money. Grand, we are looking for a house now so. Its fecking bank holiday too now. I have to wait till tuesday. If i could I would move out today. Dont care about the money.
To make it more sad, she is a millionaire. Drives new car each year. Got 4 kids, who never worked in their life...

By house owner, I presume you mean thundercunt?

Cutting the ditch is her responsability.

Also you are paying a fixed amount to rent the property, you can have people over if you want it's none of her business (if you were sharing with others it would be different)

Just sounds like a nosey bint with nothing else to do or a husband who gives her the odd flake and she needs to take it out on someone else.

That is the point. If I wanted I could get 2 mexican families fo 50 people to live here. I pay rent for house, not beds. Just becouse I got one buddy who comes over my place at 18:00 and fecks off at 8:00 in the morning few dayes per work, she decided to have a go at me.
What REALLY pissed me off, that we are so quiet people. I havent even dranked since last January. I mind my own business and spend the most of my time in my mancave. No loud music, no parties, no other people. rent payed on time and in most cases in advance!
Why the feck she is making us like some sort of junkies!

She is chancing her arm and is being brave because she is dealing with you through an intermediary. If you have a contract listing what terms you are renting under wave it under their noses and if they balk start looking for a new place and i bet she will be quiet as a mouse.

Also killed any titans yet in the mancave ?
Mine has claimed 5 sofar (stopped playing 2 years ago though)

In fairness while I wouldnt ask/demand my tenants cut hedges and "ditches" I do ask them to pay more rent if they change the number of people renting above what we agreed.
When I accept a tenant group, I make an assessment on the rate of wear and tear on the property. More people totally changes that assessment.

As a tenant you are meant to let the Landlord know if you are moving someone else in. I always make this clear and Ive been a tenant too (and will be again soon!) and its always been made clear to me.

As a Landlord, I would be quite annoyed if I had to "find out" my tenants invited their unemployed friend to live in the house I rent them! He didnt even pay a deposit to cover damages he may cause and I have been in the situation where tenants that were/are "good friends" play the blame game when it comes to who is loosing their deposit as someone vomited behind the radiator..

I know lads, sorry. Its off topic, but i need to vent some steam.

Whatever she is doing, she just went over board. Honestly, if not this problem today, she will find some other shiet tomorrow. To much money and feck all to do, so thats her entertainment. If she decided for extra 100eu ( not monthly too, just for the time buddy stays here ) is worth losing people who lived here almost 3 years, then let it be.
House is way too big for 2 of us, expensive to heat, no heating in kitchen, needs good painting and fixing ( which was needed to do even before we moved in ). We planed on moving out during winter, but we got lazy. Its a good kick up the arse for us to get finger out and rent something we really want.
The only thing I am worried, that some people might be iffy about renting to couple with 2 little dogs. You know how some people are about pets.

Refer her to the Residential Tenancies Act 2004, ask her for a copy of the PRTB registration (although you should have received this directly if she registered). You've been there longer than 6 months so she can 0only ask you to leave for specified reasons (to sell, to occupy the house herself, to refurbish). Rent can only be reassessed once every 12 months and the level of occupancy is irrelevant unless you have a discount to market rent for low occupancy. A 5 bed house could easily have up to 10 bedspaces so occupation by 3 people is not an issue. Maintenance of grounds is likely to be your responsibility (cutting grass etc) but ditch cutting sounds like outside norm.

The tenant is responsible for the damage irrespective of who caused it so I can't see how that comes into it. If you rent a 5 bed house to 2 people for the same rent as you would have let it to a largish family, I can't see how any complaint can be raised over them allowing a friend (whether employed or not) to reside with them. IF you have reduced the rent to ensure an underused house, I can understand your point. Otherwise, I have to respectfully disagree.
