Bloody insurance hunting is doing my head in. Cheapest so far was liberty who I'm currently with who are coming in at 1100.
Being a v6 means its grouped high up. :)

One direct wont quote anything over a 1.4 as I only have my full licence 2 years. :eek

Everyone else seems to be around 1800-4600.

So looks like I'm staying with liberty. Suppose 200 more than what I paid last year on a polo isn't bad.

    What about xsdirect?

Anyone else notice that it's the only supercar to be advertised like a normal car? In Ireland at least, I have never seen an ad for the likes of the M3, M5, any Lambo etc.

On that other car I have, finally got it back, engine fitted and running (somewhat for now).

Fixed the engine mounts and gearbox mounts... apparently I drove from Dundalk yesterday with the engine/gearbox just sitting on the mounts, not nuts holding it on, which was interesting..

Also added in some gearbox oil and secured the secondary oil cooler radiator when down there.

    They wanted 2k.

First Ireland quoted me 4500. It's bloody ridiculous.
Goes to prove though what's cheap for one person mightn't be cheap for someone else. I've heard loads give out about liberty being expensive and increasing quotes but they've always been the most competitive.
Original quote from them was 1266 but rang them after getting no where with the other companies and asked was that the best they could do.
Two minutes later and it was down to 1100. My quote on a 3cylinder polo was 899 last year so I'm happy enough considering I was budgeting 2k on the alfa when I bought it. :)

    Schkoooodah?

There wasn't an "ooooo" sound, more like a short "uh".

My friend gave me a lift in his Saab 9-3 05" the other day. I always liked the looks of these, but after that small trip I really have been disappointed by ride quality. It's nice inside with full cream leather, but it drives very rough and wind noise is massive! I think even my Scooby has better ride quality and my damn thing is not even made for comfort. I think my Scooby even feels softer on the road then that 9-3.

And I was in 99" petrol vectra few days ago and that felt so comfortable and quiet inside. That sort of really shocked me.

Oh yeah, I got nct for 15:00, hopefully it's going to be grand this time around.

Buddy had a 9-3 for a few years and the interior literally fell apart on him.

Great looking cars but always felt it ended there.

The one I was in was still "toight as a toiger", gigidi, but it was not a ride quality I was expecting out of Saab like this. Wind noise was the main thing that stuck in my head. Maybe it had to do something with being UK important and having a bit harder suspension? Anyway, really disappointed as I liked them :(

I always liked the look of them too, did it at least feel fast?

Ignored mod instruction. Lets move on very fast.....

This rack is still an arse to put in, despite the engine being out

In fairness for long time posters such as roverjames who got sitebanned there should be some kind of vote in mechanism by the users on the forum that they frequented the most.

Maybe a 3 month ban and then have a vote back in.
If they get voted back in, they'd be under some kind of restricted posting entitlements such as loss of pm rights.
Kind of like a last chance option.

The guy had multiple 1 month site and forum bans. There's only so many "last chances" you can get before the admins have enough and just give you a permanent **** off.

I understand that but you don't want to lose long term posters either.
I think it's a fair enough. You see certain posters in here who were perma banned that get let back in and others who don't.

It'd only be after a permanent ban. 3 months later and if members of the forum want to let him back in I dont see why not.

I can confirm that RJ is living it up in Hawaii sipping cocktails every day and surrounded by beautiful women since his rehabilitation and subsequent release by the Boards PC and High Horse Brigade Battalloin no. 69.

If only we can all be rehabilitated in such a manner.
