It's obviously Murdoch. Didn't think they'd have the interweb in the asylum though.

They mixed his meds up anyway today :D

I may go to one of these meets and figure out a few faces for names on here.

Also Mr. Pickles how did the bumper mending go :)

You may! Sure you know me so that's a start

As for the bumper, please refer to pages 19 through to 23 of thread "today I did something to my car" for further information :pac:

Tldr? It went good, just waiting to get it sprayed now, then to fix the foglights!

Separate thread for him. God I feel like an idiot.
Mainly because some of the things he does is crazy but always gives a good laugh.

So I'm in the market for a new car, well I shall be in the next 3 weeks :)

Am I mad for considering this?

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/mercedes-clk-200-kompressor-new-nct/5441480

Doesn't meet any single criteria I need but I'm oddly drawn to it

    So whatcha think?

    With your massive miles?
    Definitely not.
You're one of the few people in this country who actually require a diesel.

    What happened the side?

Every time I clean mine I realise that a respray will be on the agenda at some point.

Navigating a very bendy car park with 90 degree angles and crooked walls

It's being resprayed from mirror to mirror

Drove the GTI in to work this morning, and all seemed fine, but I pulled up to a set of lights and stuck it in neutral (I usually leave it in gear unless I'm parked) and I noticed it hunting for revs. It would rev up to 1500, sit there for a few seconds before dropping back to idle, sitting there for a few seconds and then revving up again over and over. Nothing of note happening when it's on the move though.

    Sound like a vacuum leak?

Where did you get petrol last?

That's a good question, given I ran it down to 0km this morning, I could have got crap in the lines. But I got petrol in the Topaz in Mulhuddart on the way.

Crap might have been sucked in, burnt and giving a false reading on the oxy sensors.

Either that or it was the cars way of saying you'll be pushing me in 3 mins there's that little petrol in me....!

The rev hunting started a good while after I get fuel, so I don't think it was a starvation issue or anything.

I'd say let the tank down well, fill it up again elsewhere and see if the problem persists

An Italian Tune up would clear debris if that's there issue too.

It is, but the trip said 0km range, and the dial was off the scale so I wasn't risking much of a trip to find cheaper.

Was down that way for the first time last week (When I encountered my 9 roundabouts)

Can't believe they got planning permission for an Aldi in there.

They've just relieved gridlock to turn it straight back into more gridlock :(

Bloody insurance hunting is doing my head in. Cheapest so far was liberty who I'm currently with who are coming in at 1100.
Being a v6 means its grouped high up. :)

One direct wont quote anything over a 1.4 as I only have my full licence 2 years. :eek

Everyone else seems to be around 1800-4600.

So looks like I'm staying with liberty. Suppose 200 more than what I paid last year on a polo isn't bad.

Today's car of desire is Fiat Cinquento.

Those pesky Australians think they car race in the northern hemisphere with southern hemisphere cars? Well that clearly went to plan didn't it? :pac:

UK ads for Yeti now sign off with the voiceover guy saying Shhhkudder; should we drop Skoda and spell it phoenetically?
