Well that was an interesting day! Got to experience savage, and I mean savage power from something that has no right to move that fast, it's ridiculous, and I loved it! :D

And oil change and coolant flush were done to my own yoke too thanks to our very own Corsa Fanboi...:v

Finally I got to work on something that relates to my own username, a V6 Alfa 166! The interior is in need of a serious overhaul, every inch of it needs to be scrubbed clean and the leather needs major reconditioning. Made a start on it today and boy did it make a difference, all for the price of €3.99. I have some pics I'll try put 'em up later!

There's no car cleaning like bargain car cleaning...:D

Did you get the arb fixed.
Also any word on the lights?

Remember my brothers XJ6? He had his fun with it and sold it on last week in a local auction. Here it is up for sale again.

    Few problems,

    1) My brother was not a lady owner.

    2) Showroom condition? He forgot to mention the many dents and scrapes, some of which are still visible in the pics.

    3) You can bet the idling problem wasn't sorted in it.

    4) The LED screen with the mileage is faulty and so is the stereo screen.

    5) The passenger wing mirror motor was fecked and I bet it still is.

    Beware of this ad

Was on the M11/M50 back from Bray and saw some broken plasterboard on the road, a little further on there was a van with a roof rack pulled into the hard shoulder, with a blue Corsa behind it that seemed to have some white markings on the front. Seems the board may have flown off the van and hit the car.

That would be a brown pants moment!

GTV went off for her respray today, first time in two months I've driven it, can't wait to get her back :)

Took pics of the damage to compare the result to :)

It's mirror to mirror and under the windows on each side, it's very very cheap to be honest, as it's a guy my mechanic works with and who refuses to take jobs unless its referred by a mate.

Overall it will be about €600 when you see the before and after pics you will die at how little it cost. The guy doing it is in the middle of nowhere,€works purely off industry referrals, and does it for the love of the job. I was expecting to pay €1500 plus

It's funny at the start of the summer I had no job and couldn't find find one thought I would never get one. Now I'm about 8 weeks into the job I got and its quite the opposite nearly have to beg for time off :D worked about 60 hours this week which feels alot to me anyway. I'm off next week to study for my exam and then back again. I'm enjoying it anyway so its good and learning loads too :)

The focus is still struggling on needs to be serviced now so I'm hoping to do that in the next few weeks just oil + filter this time round. I'm thinking of getting some new tyres too for it. Theres only 15k km on the ones on it but there some sh!t make winda or something and I was never that keen on them. Hoping to get turanzas or possibly hankook if there much cheaper I don't even know what price I would be looking at 205/55/16 ill have to get a quote.

On another note my dad is in the uk doing courses and he's doing alot of driving over there he has the 1.6 octavia told me this evening he has 750 km done and there's half a tank left which I'm shocked over ( small 55litre tank too) interesting to see what it'll do to the tank I've asked for photographic evidence :D ill post up the pic when he gets back.

Good ridance to bad sh*te, the hape is going to the yard today :D unfortunately I don't get the enjoyment of seeing it getting crushed as I'm away playing soldier for the week :p

But if I remember I'll post pics of it on the trailer.....

Amazing that I bought it April last year, treasured it, tried to save it.... Alas, too much work and effort was needed to save it. Farewell hape

Just did an online quote there on Brittons, and as it turns out it is over 100 quid cheaper to go on a mk4 1.9 golf as a unemployed student then working in a shop. Strange all the same.

i found the opposite. when i called brokers and told them i was a student they asked did i have a part time job as it looked much more favourable to companies if i were "employed" and not a student.

presumably because all students do mad stuff.

Maybe its different when you ring although online quotes and phone quotes from Britton are very similar I find. Just testing the water though, it will be a while before I'll be changing over and even at that, to a diesel ?
