My valuation was like £9m, your boy wanted £5m...emmmm....

Last sim was a disaster for me. Don't think I'd have gotten RC in one indicator

True...it's crap that you study so much for it to feel so pointless

I feel really cheated I've wasted so much time and effort on it

Do you think if everyone's answers were bad they'd have to take this into account when setting the pass rate? I can't imagine many people being happy with that paper really

I feel like I am going to wake up at 4a.m tonight and start screaming.

I am in a daze now. They really rode us bareback the last three days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭pepp

I really don't know you'd think they would have to but then I think they want a lower pass rate

I'm dreading the "how did it go" questions from everyone tomorrow

Snap..if you just say 'yeah okay' they'll push for more details, and if you say 'well actually I'm pretty sure I failed the elective' it'll be 'ach I'm sure you'll be grand, don't worry' ....indeed.

I honestly don't think anyone could of wrote as **** as I did ... There was no sence to my paper at all so think they could pass 80 % and I still would nt be part of it... Four of my indicators were a few bullet points at the end ... I actually felt like I put the work in and was gonna be happy ya can't win like I think I would of done the same after doing no study

It was a tough exam. I avoided looking at this form yesterday as i was so worried what id see.

i feel a little more comfort that the majority of people feel the same as me.

APMers - what did yas make of that? Started with Sim2 - went pretty amazing to be honest. Made the best stab at that I'll ever make. If you had 4 or more highlighters you were elected. It was simply a matter of splitting the expenses from their spazzy spiel. Here is my paper here: http://oi39.tinypic.com/28mh0rq.jpg.

Left sim 3 to the end and struggled to think but had managed my time pretty well so ended up taking ages and splitting it into 4 x 6month periods for all the ****; just averaged the margins. Hope I didn't mess up too much

If that's not a pass then I'll most certainly be switching to ACCA. Mate failed CAP2s and switched. Received a letter there saying he was 3rd in Ireland and 11th in the world for P1. Go figure.

Don't know why but thought nobody had commented on the exam yet! wtf.

Anyway - yeah, it was defo hard but I'd say 100% of studying for that exam was a complete and utter waste of time. Glad I didn't do a thing other than make an index while I was waiting for the exam to start. Basically just tested your general knowledge and speed at rattling through their nonsense.

    A) Was it really a Joint Venture? :o think I missed something important. I'm sure I referred in the answer to the need for clearer lines of authority and responsibility, but it didnt really register with me that it was a JV

    B) Sim III, that should have been very straight forward, but did anyone else find it a very badly worded question?

If I failed it'll have been on sim 3 without a doubt. I assume everyone's going to be filling in the Cassi feedback??

Don't forget to do the survey. It's due in by Monday. If you need the link let me know as probably shouldn't post it here.

Yea i thought sim3 was badly worded for the direct labour and direct overheads of E&M centre. I jus went wit % of direct materials cost (even though that makes no sense) cos i cudnt work out any other methodology.

I also completely missed the jv in sim 1, that was the 1 i did at the end and was very short on time for that. Were annualised earnings €1.7m? I hope i got somethin right in that sim .
