What question do you recommend for each so, and I'll mark it.
    I'm shattered after core.

Mixture for NPV Pitem for source of finance and Tyfanny for balanced scorecard. Global for transfer pricing.

I had full intentions of having a read through the green book tonight and practising an NPV question... managed to glance at an NPV answer to remind myself, and tabbing an answer that had capital allowances brought forward. might read the green book quickly in the morning but for now it's good night folks... good luck tomorrow, hope everyone gets the indicators we want (fingers crossed) :)

How do we think is this marked? If there are 9 indicators do we have to get average C in all or is it per scenario any body know?

Based on the sufficiency test - every C, RC etc gets a value and they draw a line, if you're above the line you pass. Least that's my understanding of it

Ya u need to get sufficiency zero to pass and generally in top 70% so like its really dependant on what other people get ...like prob 3/4 c s and rest rc will get u there

I'm having a mini melt down tonight feel like I know nothing !! barely done anything last few days ;(

Don't worry, just have a clear head and go in thinking positive! You've done the work, I think you need a break before the exam to unwind

I'm not, don't think they'd be of any real value in the actual exam. Bringing apm cases and green book, finance and mngt acc and strategy texts

No. Didn't do core this year so would even remember what's in the cases. Does the strategy book do Porter and Ohame any better than the green book? Is it worth a trip into the attic at this stage...

It is quite good for porter, goes into more detail than the green book. Also talks about modes of entry

I do think it goes in to more detail but I don't plan on using it as would waste too must time reading the detail I think. It's more just a comfort ..

Ill not be using it I have all the main topics on an A4 sheet of paper as to where they are in the book and ill be using that in my reading time to identify whatever models they are based on.

Roll on 5.30 because I am at my wits end with this studying craic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭pepp

I didn't get it finished at all was just putting points down for the last question. I had a feeling there wouldn't be a npv question but was still surprised when it didn't show

First timer and still gutted...I didnt expect that at all...didnt get 4 indicators on the last case just 3...wonderful. If the institute were open they'd be getting such a rant right now...so annoyed, it's not fair that you cover everything from the course and the papers nothing like it, barely even used the book cos it felt useless

It's having to face the family...never failed and that exam is definitely goin to ruin my record

What's the point in studying if you get something like that?
