I was having a lot of trouble with radio yesterday. Couldn’t even pick up some of the Dublin stations (Classic Hits and Sunshine). Even LMFM from Mount Oriel, which normally blasts in here as one of the strongest signals, was losing RDS.

Hey Sunny, We wouldn’t be very strong in monkstown normally anyway , But the lift certainly doesn’t help us with 88.1 and BBC Radio 2 there’s a 250 kw rig on in the Uk so that wipes us out on days like today

Just after 2PM on Saturday a French station was drowning out Northern Sound for a while. It was playing French music mostly although "Thriller" by Michael Jackson was also played.

Incidentally, Energy Power AM is live this afternoon on 1395 kh (215 metres) on Medium Wave and they have given out a number for listeners to ring in with their requests. It's the old way of doing things: ringing in and giving your request and, no doubt, having a chat off air with the presenter!

Haven’t a clue about the station playing country music on 99.4, I listened for about 10 minutes and there was no identification, last time I posted a bandscan it was there and someone mentioned it might be coming from Cavan or Monaghan.

99.4 - most likely Misty Mountain Radio from Cavan

Receiving Bayern Eins on 87.7
A station called Radio 1 (not that one!) on 93.3

Loads of Spanish, Italian, German and French station popping up but not many from the U.K.

Energy were on 99.3 for most of the afternoon and into the early evening.

It is my understanding that on weekends whatever Energy Power AM happens to be broadcasting on 1395kh AM is streamed on that FM frequency.

Picked up a station on 105.7 FM in Liffey Valley with RDS ‘Disco’ then it would change to ‘Home of’ it didn’t last to long on the car radio, Same signal pattern as the No.1 relay that was in the area a few months ago.

Over the last week I have heard some horrendous radio advertisements on the dance pirates Kiss and Hot fm. There is one for a funeral home and a taxi app and others I cannot even understand. Kids making Tiktok videos have higher production values.

Was in Dublin today for the first time in 3 months. Put on Kiss and Hot, God there audio is terrible not to mention there ads.
Only station actually been Pro has to be Club Fm by a mile.
