Did anyone see Lucas glover marking the ball there on the 18th, did he touch the ball or the ball move as he went to put down marker? It appeared to but maybe it's just me!

Looks like you got your wish. 4 man playoff.
Think Holmes made the right decision to lay up on 18.

Yeah good stuff - should be an exciting finish. I'd say if Holmes didn't see the shot before him nearly go into the drink then he would have taken it on. Come on Day!

    are they being harsh ?

if he wins - it would be all , good lay up.

    He was a little unlucky.

Day looking the most likely here. Great yee shot.
Might have to put my money on him for the masters now.

Very impressive stuff from day in the play off. Will take a quality up and down for jb to keep this going

Happy to see Day win, he's got to win a major soon. I hate that the wags get so much screen time, we see nothing of the caddies or coaches who actually do something, always just the wags.

Backed Day at the start of the week so pleased to see him win. Hopefully he'll pop his major cherry sooner rather than later. Played well and showed some good bottle in that play off, even if that second shot to the 18th was a bit dodgy.

Day just gives the most mundane interviews every time. From his trancelike pre shot routine to his slow play he just bores the bell out of me. Just as well they show the wags sometimes.

Irish 4 ball this week. Lowry, Harrington, Desmond and McManus.

Irish 4 ball this week. Lowry, Harrington, Desmond and McManus.

It's also the first time in a long time that I can remember there being more Irish pros playing on the PGA Tour than on the European Tour. Paul McGinley is also in the field at Pebble Beach and Michael Hoey and Damien McGrane are the only Irish golfers playing in the Thailand Classic.

Sounds great. Now only if we could just filter out "Boomer", Bill Murray, and basically every other celebrity out of the coverage and enjoy the pros hitting around one of the most picturesque golf locations on Earth.

    The 11th commandment.

Padraig has a good chance of winning the Pro-Am then - JP is a total bandit(allegedly :pac:)

JB Holmes showing no ill effects from his loss last week. 3 under after 2 holes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,429 ✭✭✭Pierce_1991

Harrington birdies 4, 6 and 8 to go level in the lead at 3 under

It's a shame we wont see him or Lowry in the coverage later.

10 more birdies and we've a 59 on the cards?

Great to see his name up there.

    Now there is a nut.
    And great character.

For all the S£$T - a great golfer too.

Pretty solid starts from all the irish lads and great to see john daly up at the top of the leaderboard.
Tiger should go get a few tips from him on the short game. Daly's is superb

What's the story with these 60/70 year old yanks and their 8/9 handicaps playing at the pro am? You wouldn't see swings like them in the JB Carr...

Don't get me started on US handicaps. The last refuge of self delusion.

Craig T. Nelson can hold a 5 handicap at 70,it seems. Fair play to him.
