  • Delighted for Bob MacIntyre. What a win on home soil, 12 months after heartbreak losing by one to Rory. Brilliant stuff!

Love McIntyre, himself and Lowry come across as the most ordinary lads out there who are a bit of craic

Bob now has two PGA tour wins on the season. I'd imagine he'll shoot up the rankings after that one and up the Fed Ex cup rankings as well.

Can't help but feel a bit for Scottie, always comes across as such a nice guy, fair dues to Bob for the approach and putt though, that's how you close things out

MacIntyre is excrutiatingly slow and a huge part what is wrong with golf

Would've loved to see an Adam Scott win but regardless it's nice to see him back in contention. Had Bob as my dark horse for the open but I think it will be hard to go back to back now, you never know though...

Going full into the aimpoint routine does slow things up. I'd love to see a stat kept for players for their time taken on shots (Cantlay and Harman would be the worst offenders no doubt). Lowry has become noticeably slower on putts over the last year too tbf.

Conor Purcell has won the NI Open by a shot on the Challenge tour. That should be enough to secure him a main tour card for next season.
The Challenge tour stays in Ireland next week with an event in the K Club.

FAir play to him, be great to have another irish lad on the main tour.

Regarding that event at k club next week, tickets are free, be well worth going to

The qualification process for the Ryder cup has been announced and there have been some significant changes.

    • The world ranking points list has been removed so there will be a single points list from eligible events.
    • The big change is that PGA Tour events after January 1st 2025 will be eligible for points as long as they don't clash with a Rolex series event (excluding the Scottish open week). Points can be earned in DP World tour events from August 29th.
    • Generally speaking, PGA tour events carry more points than DP World tour events.
    • The Zurich classic (won by Rory & Shane this year) will be eligible for points but only if both players are Europeans.
    • 6 wildcards so no change there

Should be 2 picks max for both sides. 6 picks they may as well go 12 picks for what’s it worth. As your 6 who get in on points at least 5 would been picks anyway

Dufner and snedeker playing on euro tour in Czech this week

Sound guy probably has to replace the mute button based on Hatton score today

Does anyone else have issues with the DP World tour app? On the live scoring, when I click on a player, I don’t always get their hole by hole scores or shot tracking info. Very annoying. Also I’m no longer able to pick favourites - asks me to log in but even then no joy.

Disappointed to not see Mannasero win today. Some comeback this year from the depths all the same.

Dunhill Links is get the liv players out and earn some ranking points events

IMO the European Tour should take the Saudi deal and create a truly global tour where the biggest and most prestigious events to win are national opens…Irish/Scottish/French/Italian/Spanish/South African/Australian etc.

The fact that winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic and the John Deere is deemed more desirable than the above is quite frankly a joke.

Downside to these pro ams is courses are set up on the easy side and ideal conditions gives the courses no defence at all

I agree, and the top US based players will eventually migrate to where the money is.

Literally turned on the TV as it rolled in. Absolute magic.

He played a round with Jimmy Bullard recently that's up on youtube. He came off as very at ease with where his game had gone and what he'd done in his career. I don't think this performance was on the bingo card. He's got the face of lad who's just shot a PB and can't believe it.
