44.53 c per litre for feb milk,no winter bonuses etc.thought I was doing great as i had 3.57 protein and 4.4 fat.gg what were ur solids like to get 47 cent with no winter bonuses ??.as for the markets, they are softening but no need for price cuts yet.we should see current levels maintained till June I feel but alas I'm an Arrabawn supplier and we've been bottom of the milk leagues for donkey's years so I fear an earlier cut may be on cards.theres some serious interest down this way in ditching Arrabawn and moving to Glanbia.lots of suppliers have sent letters of intent back

??? But quota always ends on March 31st irrespective of glanbias billing month.
It's usually only 2 collections extra in a 5 weeker anyhow.

Yeh I know, but glanbia had given March a huge allocated of litres based on last years March being a 5wk period. Agreed that I should have counted it up myself ha, but not that doing that would have made a difference, I've been driving on production and couldn't have supplied anymore in any case.

All nit picking to be honest, given how far under quota I've been the last few previous years, coming this close isn't bad going with less cows now!

Unlikely IMV the last thing they would want to do is fuel the dissenters in the SE

Off topic a bit. But does anyone no a good person to install a second hand parlour in Louth monaghan area. Cookstown seem too busy and and don;t seem interested inn the smaller less profitable jobs around the area and are pricing themselves very dear for jobs they don't want.

I'm quite happy with 39 base ,obviously would live more but markets starting to come under pressure on the back of record New Zealand season ,rising us and Europe production.id say April will stay at same price possibly may but then the inevitable.

Agree,April and May at 39 would get on top of a lot of early season bills and set up rest of year nicely even with a price drop.id still predict an average price for the year of 34-35 base

Would tend to agree. Hope we're wrong

There will be no bother dropping the price. Every dairy farmer is talking it down since it went to 39c.

What about forward contracts? Always the excuse when slow to rise the price, we hear nothing about them when price coming down.
