Highly unlikely.

Until the flash bang, he had even more of an incentive to try and figure out what the police were doing and where they were. And, regardless of his case, this whole incident has really highlighted new information issues for law enforcement: you could always listen to the channel if you had a radio, but you couldn't distribute it to 200,000 people like some folks are doing now.
