GTA 3 is 12 this year! The first gta game I got to play at my older cousins house when I was 7

    Anyone remember Mr. Whoppee?

Fuck man, I remember buying that.
Was something like the 25th of October 2001 or something (Mental they way I can narrow down the date  )

An awesome game. Sure, Vice City is better but that was the first 3d GTA. Where does the time go. Also, I remember I was big into the Channel 4 gaming tv show called "Bits" - it was around GTA3's release that they shortly ended.

Reservoir Dogs is 21 years old.

And Goodfellas is 23, Scorcese and De Niro were never as good again, in fairness, it was cinematic perfection.

My first recollection of Bowie was Under Pressure 32 years ago, U2 were the next Thin Lizzy then!

As for Nintendo, I can remember friends fighting over the NES or Atari 25 years ago, both unattainable for me then.

As for technology, I remember smiling at the story about a kid answering the home phone and saying Dad wasn't at home, you should try the mobile. That was 16 years ago, it sounded odd! Now, telling somebody to ring the home phone is strange, never mind all the technological changes.

If you take the year that "That 70's Show" was set in and it's original airdate and made it today it would be called "That 90's Show" and be set in 1991.

Bart Simpson should be 33 by now.

That young wan from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" will be 37 this month.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGPhUr-T6UM was more than a quarter of a century ago.......and people no longer put the needle on the record...:(

A middle aged Jack Nicholson introducing Dylan, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood at Live Aid. Performance isn't that great actually, but Live Aid was cutting age technology at the time.

    12 years since 9/11

11 years since World Cup 2002 (Keane walking and the 1-1 draw with Germany before the heartbreaking defeat to Spain on penalties)

9 years since the Indian Ocean Tsunami

16 years since the death of Princess Diana

It really is unbelievable how quickly the years roll by.

If “Back to the future” (the first one) was to be made today,

and Marty McFly was to travel back the same amount of time as he did in the original,

he would be in 1983.
