Do you ever park your car on the road? This slows other drivers down. Please use a car park.

You have no way of proving that.
So if someone is driving carefully they cant drive is that the logic?

Driving slow doesn't equate to driving carefully or safe, it shows an inability to comprehend the surroundings or to control a vehicle at a reasonable speed.
    It demonstrates poor motor skills.

    No, they're fine

Are you saying you can't drive carefully doing the speed limit or just under?

    Jesus, talk about nitpicking!
I am obviously talking about normal circumstances!
Of course there are going to be situations where you should drive slower!
I didn't think that would have to be spelt out.

Slow drivers better accept that they are UNDER the speed limit and should be prepared to have people coming up behind them with the intention of passing. If they are courteous they will move over a little when they can and let them pass. If they are pricks or oblivious, well....

so somebody is a prick for not jumping out of the way of someone who is driving up their @rse and wants to endanger all other road users by breaking the speed limit?

Would you not think it to be courteous to let the person enjoy thier journey without driving up thier arse or looking for them to pass them at every opportunity just becasue "Im late".. "Im in a hurry" .. "I drive like a prick"

Slow drivers particular those who drive in the middle of the road are the pricks.
As for enjoying the journey, that's the problem. People don't have time there often on the way to meetings, collect kids, see clients etc. the slow driver out for a leisurely drive prevents them from going about there business.
Also it's not a issue of fast v slow drivers. It's slow drivers v regular drivers. So just because someone isn't slow implies that there a reckless speedster.

Thats not what I asked, if someone is driving carefully you have the opinion that they cant drive. You can drive dangerously even at speed limits

Slow drivers are bad, that's for sure but what's 10 times worse are Tractors!!!! Aaaagh...

Why do they just appear out of everywhere at the worst times. Got caught behind one on a bank holiday Friday last summer who went through 3 towns without pulling in. There must have being a 100 cars behind him. He must have being blown by every car that eventually passed him.

At minimum there should be designated times for them on the road.

You dont leave enough time for your journey and then you are left rushing, maybe even taking risks to get to your destination on time and then blame ... "the tractor" .. "the slow driver" .. " the cyclist". But blame everyone else but yourself

They are a hindrance, yes I hate them
    "I drive like a prick"

Funnily enough that's what I think about someone doing 60 or 80 on a 100km/h stretch of road who doesn't pull in to let others pass

    What???
Show me where I said, if you drive carefully you can't drive.
I can drive carefully and I can drive!loads of people can!
I never said that so if you have some notion that that's my opinion, you are wrong.

Give me a slow driver any day of the week ahead of some idiot who thinks they are some sort of Formula one driver and king of the road because they are going fast.

The roads are full of people that drive dangerous, overtake on white lines, cut people off, road rage, speeding like maniacs, talk on the phone, driving with bad lights, dont bother indicating, tailgating and driving with head on all night long. These are my hates...

Slow drivers ... last on my list buddy

If an elderly lady or gent is driving to shops to get their groceries or pick up a prescription and carefully stays to within a speed her or she is comfortable with....that's not 'normal'?

Now, if we're talking about people using a handphone while driving and not paying attention to keeping their speed consistant, Or drivers who don't bother indicating, don't stop for amber traffic lights or who go the wrong way around roundabouts. I'd understand. Those people should definitely not be driving.

One is as bad as the other.
I see far more slow drivers on the road then I see boy racers and there are a lot of unnecessary risks taken by average drivers trying to overtake the slow ones.

As I stated it not just slow and fast it's slow, normal then fast. Give me a normal driver over the two

If they are a good bit under the speed limit and they have a habit of always driving way under the limit, then they shouldn't even be on the road!
If you don't have the ability to drive at normal speeds, you need to think about getting help to improve your standard of driving.

Your basically saying here that if you drive slow you cant drive and shouldnt be on the road until you speed up. Because if you speed up (to the limit) then obviously you can drive ..

When someone is driving slow then you would agree that the less speed there is the less chance of an accident, claim, injury. It would be considered careful driving.

Slow drivers are not all bad drivers. Its the ones that drive for 6k at 50 in a 80 limit on a white line road and on the only straight bit which is aprox 1 k and dead straight there off flat out to 80 so you can never pass. I have to say it makes me see a Bit red.

What's the big deal? Some people drive slowly. Agressive tailgaters are much more annoying than slow drivers. I automatically slow down when I'm being tailgated because it's very distracting.

    Well it isn't.

So its the driver in fronts fault if they are driving slower than the limit because they made you pass/ pass dangerously

There is a motoring forum- there isnt even an ambitious crossover that meant you wearnt sure which forum it should go in.

    I hate lazy posters OP

    No, they're fine
Yes, if you can't control a car at let's 95kph in a 100kph zone on a good road then I would call that a poor driver.
I am not on about being careful.
I am saying that there are people out there doing 60 in a 100 zone in a world of their own, don't check their mirror and haven't a clue what's behind them.
I also agree, people on phones, speeding and a lot of other things are just as bad.
Also I am not defending people flying up close behind you and flashing lights.

So its the driver in fronts fault if they are driving slower than the limit because they made you pass/ pass dangerously

If they were driving at the designated speed limit we wouldnt have to try and overtake them.

Every overtaking manoeuvre is a risk and these idiot slow drivers force the hand of the average law abiding road user.

No it would imply that they are not capable of driving at a safe and progressive speed. It implies that there reaction time and perception is slow and poor. Good love any child that steps out on front of them
