Forgot to add I have 6 players to make the cut...

Leishman, Spieth, Snedeker, Pieters, Wise, Uihlein, 10/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,617 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

    USPGA:
Ladbrokes, PP and Boyles all e/w 10 places in shops.
Very little difference in their shop prices on top 20 players.

I've done a fair few bets for this week, not so much on the outright, just other stuff I'm trying out...

    Wise 75/1
    Schwartzel 75/1
    Snedeker 90/1

    All E.W Top 8

Backed Spieth @14 on the exchange.

    FRL I have Vegas & Kang at 100/1 and 150/1 respectively e.w top 6

Vegas 11/5 & KH Lee 7/2 double to be Top South American and Top South Korean!

Betfair have a 'popular multis' section so just scrolling through that and a few caught my eye...

    Leishman,Fitzpatrick, Matsuyama, Berger to finish Top 20 ..... 125/1
Schwartzel, Wise, Mitchell, Piercy to finish Top 40 ......25/1
Whaley, Power, Teater, Hadley to finish Top 40 .......250/1 (worth a Euro!)

    Best of luck!

That romped home anyway! Shame I didn't back Lee to win never mid Top Korean! Got a place on Schwartzel and Sullivan in the Euro event, so not a bad week all in all.

Still pondering the USPGA , not seeing too much value at the top end, so will probably just go with long shots and various other top 20, top 40 type bets.

Looking at odds and they are a joke now with at least 8 golfers 18/1 or less and a fifth f odds a place . Be better off waiting until Saturday morning to see who made cut and have a bet then ..

Fancy Cink this week, playing well and driving long which will be needed on this course imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,126 ✭✭✭The real mccoy 91

    Main plays for the week

    Hovland 25/1
    Hatton 50/1
    Reed 33/1
    Garcia 100/1

Adding a couple that seem very overpriced and underrated

    Simpson 45/1
    DJ 18/1

Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy for me,
    Good luck.

Rory top 5 after round 1,8/1 Ladbrokes
Bryson top 5, hovland top 10 Berger top 20 28/1
DJ top 5, morikawa top 10 Matsuyama top 20 33/1 both pp what odds ( free bet up to a 5er if you do 2 whatodds bets)
    Berger
    Woodland
    Fleetwood
    MacIntyre
    All e/w

    Bradley, Lowry 80/1 (top 8)
    Dahmen 250/1, Schwartzel 150/1,Noren 250/1, Leishman 60/1, Hoffman 150/1 (top 11)

As I said above, not really fancied much at the top end, looks to be no real value, so just done some small stakes long shots.

Hoffman, Palmer, Willett Top 40 approx 55/1
Davis, Morikawa, Dahmen Top 40 approx 33/1
Harman, Conners, Bradley Top 40 approx 12/1

I Dutched the R.O.W market with Davis, Bezuidenhout and KH Lee E.W Top 5

Bubba Watson has been really solid for the last few months. One thing you will need on Sunday is good nerve and with 2 Masters in the Bag I'll happily back him at 100/1 8 places B365. 1 pt e/w

Emiliano Grillo has found a rich vein of form in 2021 - but he's been a bit inconsistent with it which is why his price is so high. T14 last week and his last eight tournaments read MC-T11-T21-MC-T6-T2-MC-T14. If he keeps that sequence up then he has a strong place chance. 140/1 on 365 but I'll take the extra 2 places on PP (10) 125/1 1 pt e/w

Billy Horshel is a massive price. Won the matchplay and hasn't actually played much since but I reckon that win took a lot out of him and he could be ready to contend again after a quieter period. 125/1 and I'll take the 2 extra places with PP for him (10). 140/1 with Bet365 which I can't understand at all. 1 pt e/w

Garrick Higgo is just 21 years of age but if he gets a good start I can see him announcing himself to an American audience in a big way. 125/1 Bet 365 8 places - 1 pt e/w , In great form on the ET.

At 175/1 I think Cameron Champ is worth a flutter. He is one of the longest hitters on tour and since the Masters ( Was T2 early in 3rd round ) he has only played twice. First at the Zurich event with Tony Finau where they contended before a poor final round in the foursomes - I can forgive him that and he warmed up last week at the AT&T for this with some mixed form. His form overall has been gradually improving this year so he's worth 1 pt e/w Bet 365.

    Burmester - 250/1

I added Van Rooyen @ 300/1 and Branden Grace @ 133/1 too yesterday...
    3 Balls;
Hovland over Westwood and Xander - 7/5 Win
Scheffler over Molinari and Zach Johnson - 20/21 Void

Cam Smith over Woodland and Rose - 7/5 Lost
DB Straight Vibin' over Stricker and Horschel - Evens Lost
Burmester over KH Lee and Koch - 13/10 Win

    Loads of multiples on these

Doubles,Trebles,4-Folds and 5-Folds in profit as well as the singles... 6-Folds at a loss of about 50%, Scheffler's being voided was a bit annoying but oh well.
    Match ups;
    Connors over Fitzpatrick - 10/11
    Fleetwood over Niemann - Evens
    Hovland over Xander - Evens
    Spieth over JT - Evens
    Zalatoris over Leishman - 8/11

    Multiples on these too

Hoffman, Top 5 after Round One - 22/1
    Hoffman, Round One leader - 80/1 E/W
-9 or worse winning score - Evens

No hole in one - Evens (My biggest bet of the week)

    Hoff lost...
Champ is 100% missing the cut, hoping Cantlay loses a few shots.
Got worried about the hole in one bet at the 14th yesterday but hopefully this wins.
-9 or worse isn't looking too bad right now, until someone scores really low :o

Just found an accumulator I did yesterday and forgot about...
Skinny Will over Finau - 1/3
    Connors over Casey - 4/11
    Reed over Cantlay - 6/5
Cam Smith over Simpson - 1/3
    Lowry over Westwood - 8/11
    Bryson over DJ - 1/4
    Scheffler over Cantlay - 4/6
    Hovland over Xander 4/11

    In around 26/1...

    3-Balls today;
SW Kim over Balin and Herman - 4/9
Kitayama over Bensel and Streb - 4/5
Horsfield over Munoz and Pearce - Evens
Grace over Hadwin and Hojgaard - 5/4
Cam Smith over Rose and Woodland - 13/8
DB over Stricker and Horschel - 6/5
Perez over Uresti and McNealy - 11/10
Pieters over Kooch and Cantlay - 5/2
Mackenzie Hughes over Kanaya and Cook - 11/8
Burmester over Koch and KH Lee - 13/10
Catlin over MacIntyre and Champ - 9/4
Scheffler over Zach Johnson and Hagy - 8/13
Bubba over Stenson and Willett - 6/5
Hovland over Westwood and Xander - 5/4
Rory over JT and Brooks - 6/4
Kokrak over Lewis and Na - 5/4

    Again, combined in multiples...

This seems absolutely crazy putting on 4,368 .02c fivefolds that add up to €87.36 as well as all the other multiples :pac::pac::pac:

Not that I know of... But I don't think he's finished in the top 10 of a major in 5 years. And he's missed the cut 4 times and only finished in the top 20 once since last year's Masters (Although I think he was 21st in this years?).

Cantlay started with par, double bogey, bogey, bogey and I thought I was onto a winner... He hit 2 more near the end but the 5 birdies inbetween were definitely good enough to give him a good 2nd round of +1 and 4 shots safe...

Starting to get worried about the winning score depending on how hard the course plays over the next two days. Nearly lost the hole in one bet today too :pac:
I added Van Rooyen @ 300/1 CUT (And quite angry about it at hole 17

    3-Balls today;
SW Kim over Balin and Herman - 4/9 Lost

Very poor with the 3-balls today, although a lot of them being lost on the final few holes. Branden Grace with a shocking last 2 holes to lose 3 shots, only tie the 3-ball and also throw away the lead. Smith with a bogey on the 2nd last hole to lose. Hovland with a horror show on 13,14 and 15. Rory with a bogey on each of 16,17 and 18.

Could've been a nice day if two of them had held it :o

Profits from 3-balls on Thursday gone so starting fresh for the 2-balls tomorrow :p

    Bradley, Lowry 80/1 (top 8)
    Dahmen 250/1, Schwartzel 150/1,Noren 250/1, Leishman 60/1, Hoffman 150/1 (top 11)

As I said above, not really fancied much at the top end, looks to be no real value, so just done some small stakes long shots.

Hoffman, Palmer, Willett Top 40 approx 55/1
Davis, Morikawa, Dahmen Top 40 approx 33/1
Harman, Conners, Bradley Top 40 approx 12/1

I Dutched the R.O.W market with Davis, Bezuidenhout and KH Lee E.W Top 5

Still have some interest, best Ican hope for is a place in the outright, Bez going ok in the top R.O.W market. The Top 40 bets, 1 is still live, feel unlucky about Harman missing the cut and disappointed with Palmer!

Will Hill offered me a 20euro free bet if I did a 20 treble or more, so a free roll in essence.

    Varner over Higgo 2.2
    Dahmen over Fowler 2.2
    Niemann over Higgs 1.61

Boosted odds too, 20 pays 170 (or nothing more than likely!)

Hideki 28/1 and Oosthuizen 55/1 my 2 ew 10 places.

Oost could have won with better putting but at 55/1 the place money means i kept the cash from the books getting a small profit and losing to Phil tempers any diappointment.

Poor odds in the US this week so sticking to pp fantasy golf which is a good way to have a bet in golf.

For those who are not familiar with it do not let the name put you off, this is all about real scoring and live golf.

Robert Macintyre was 2nd in the Made in Hmmerland last year and is the class act to go one better this.

One the best up-and-coming european players looks sure to be placed at least and has a real chance of winning, short odds at around 10/1.

I thought Ian Poulter played well last week and he has been consistent without getting involved seriously over the last few weeks so he may be overdue a good run. I'll take the 80/1 8 places on him - available with Sky and PP. 1pt e/w

Patton Kizzire was 3rd in the AT&T a few weeks back and after a week off looks like he could be primed to get involved also at 100/1. again 8 places with Sky and PP. 1pt e/w

Fairly new to the thread but love reading the tips etc. - good luck this week.

    Zalatoris - 50/1
    Keegan Bradley - 70/1
    Schwartzel - 90/1
    Burmester - 250/1

Not a great week here... Hovland backed off big time at the weekend, Spieth never looked involved... Bradley could've got a top 10... Zalatoris saves me again...
    Top Finishes;

    Zalatoris Top 10 - 9/2
    Spieth Top 10 - 13/8
    Schwartzel Top 20 - 10/3
    Hoffman Top 20 - 4/1
    Branden Grace Top 20 - 11/2

Thought I was onto a winner at big odds with Brandon Grace but he absolutely blew up on the Sunday. Hoffman comes through again and Zalatoris.
    Match ups;
    Connors over Fitzpatrick - 10/11
    Fleetwood over Niemann - Evens
    Hovland over Xander - Evens
    Spieth over JT - Evens
    Zalatoris over Leishman - 8/11

    Multiples on these too

Massive returns here. Would've been even sweeter if Fleetwood hadn't been so poor.
    Top Players;

    Spieth - Top American - 8/1 E/W
    Ancer - Top Rest or World - 10/1 E/W

    Pieters Top Belgian - 8/13
Cam Smith Top Aussie - 9/4
Victor Perez Top French - 8/13
    Hovland Top Scandinavian - 4/9
Schwartzel Top South African - 9/2

    Connors Top Canuck - 8/13
    Harman Top Leftie - 11/5
Ancer Top Rest of World - 10/1

Ancer places... Big loss on the multiples...
    Others;

Cantlay to miss the cut - 2/1
Cam Champ to miss the cut - Evens + Double with Cantlay (5/1)
Hoffman, Top 5 after Round One - 22/1
    Hoffman, Round One leader - 80/1 E/W
-9 or worse winning score - Evens

No hole in one - Evens (My biggest bet of the week)

Cantlay played pretty well, messed up there.
Champ was bound to miss the cut after about about 3 holes... Disappointed I can't get a market for him to miss the cut this week...
Hoffman for once didn't start great and played better as the week went on.

My two biggest bets still have me in big enough profit for the week with a winning score of -6 and No hole in ones (Thank God!) :pac: I can now go back to always hoping for one, it's far less stressful...
