I wonder if the frequency changes are causing satsklep to be busyer than normal.
I received a card last thursday and despite been kept on TVP 1 all weekend, it still has not cleared.
I have tried emailing and phoning the store, but get no reply or answer. The phone just rings out.
    A little bit miffed!

So a dedicated receiver is now required?

I think is just a repacement for DVB-S receivers for DVB-S2.
My understanding is if you already have a DVB-S2 receiver your fine.

Will be interesting to see the improvement in sd picture quality ,I suspect it will be very noticeable.

depends what sd channels are left and then a heavy rain storm and you may loose all channels , that was the advantage of the sd channels

    Hi guys,
I'm up in Donegal with a full nc+ package which includes HBO and having the same events as you. I have done several blind searches, but with a major low weather system over Europe it's been difficult trying to get some sense into what exactly I can receive.. So as far as I can make out on Canal all the premium channels are available in HD only. The rest of my package is pretty much the same with one or two exceptions. So the Canal film stuff is transmitted in original audio but overdubbed, shame that as they show some cracking films that don't appear on Sky.

the sd versions were handy to have as any weather or wind and some the hd cans go

    been a few more changes

    here is full sat listing

    Hi All,
having some difficulty with getting my new NC+ card activated still.
I have the card a week and on TVP1 as per satskleps instructions.
    Still nothing.
I have email and phoned several times and have only managed to get talking to someone (Rafal) once.
he said he would get the signal sent again. This was tuesday, but still no activation. I have tried ringing again and email again sevarel times but no response.
The receiver has been on TVP1 for over a week.
The signal and Quality are good, the Transponder paramaters are correct. TVP1 was working with the old card before it expired.
I dont know what to do?????

Was TVP1 one of the channels that changed in the latest updates? Have you tried doing a full scan?

TVP1 is 10892H according to KingofSat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 352 ✭✭kkontour

TVP1 is fine, correct Transponder and Now & Next information is coming in.
Signal and Quality are also high.
I got talking to Lukas in satsklep yesterday who again asked me to put it on TVP 1 SD and wait up to 3 hours. 24 hours later still not updated.
Could the card be faulty??? The smardcard information shows the date on 0068 so the card is reading correctly.
I think I will need to send the card back and ask for a new one that is pre-activated by satsklep.

    Can you try another receiver?

Also I assume you have rescanned as TVP1 is now DVBS2 Mpeg 4 and not DVBS Mpeg 2

Apparently I am wrong.....TVP1 is still DVBS........

    What receiver are you using?

Are you using an official CAM?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 352 ✭✭kkontour

Had it in a vu+ duo with cccam, but never had an issue before.
But also had it in a ferguson ariva 252 for a few days, when the second update was sent.
    Tks for suggestions

I'm only throwing out suggestions, as I'm not sure, but is the Ariva patched? I had thought it was only a Conax slot until patched to make it a multi-CAM? Mind you, if it can read the card informations, maybe I'm wrong there too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 352 ✭✭kkontour

the ariva is not patched, but it does read the card.
satsklep also sell the ariva so I assume it works with nc+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 655 ✭✭✭Hunter Mahan

I have the Ariva but before i got the card splitter I had to use a cam module

Ive been using Cyfra/NC+ for years and it has always updated on my VU+ Duo fine. I just moved it to the ariva as it hadent activated on vu+ even though it was on TVP 1 for a week.
Anyone else using an Ferguson Ariva with using the smartcard slot for Cyfra/NC+?
    Tks

I have a fergy Ariva hd box with my nc+ and HBO package and was no problem when I recently renewed my card, although it took 4 full days and 15 euros worth of phone calls to activate it. The blind scan facilty has found all the changes and new channel locations. For me it's poor service from Satskelp, getting any sort of customer service was a real trial , you just have to keep on and on until they are glad to get rid of you.

    Same experience here.
23 Phone calls - twice answered
6 emails - Once replied to
I sent another email today asking to send back the card and get my money back.
Rafel did respond asking that he send the signal again, and finally the card did activate after about 1 hour.
So, its working now, but I found the experience frustrating.

Ah, glad you got it working in the end.

It'd probably be handier if Satsklep activated the cards prior to shipping.

    Yeah,
I will be requesting that next year, if I use them. Maybe cardsplitter might be worth a try.
    We'll see.

Anybody worked out where TCM or TNT movie channel has moved to. Tried latest king of sat postings of 12.188 and 12.284 HD but no signal or listing. Receiving all other changes in HD no problem.

Do other channels on those transponders tune in?

Is your card a Nagravision 3 card? I notice that many other channels, TCM is Nagra3 only. Dunno if it's relevant or not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 downliner

Thanks for your observation understand your drift. Those Nagravision transponders don't either list the channel or if they do are not indicating any transmission. Just wondered if I missed another transponder running the channel.
