Im just using the card slot no cam. Still nothing cleared doubt it will at this hour!! I have disconnected internet to box. I also notice through the information on the conditional access that the number of the card slightly differs as to what is wrote on back of card. The box says 777.xxx.xxx and the card says 778.xxx.xxx not sure if makes a differance that 1 digit is just the differance. And satsklep asked for number on back of card which is what i gave them??

im not familar with those boxes, but isn't the card slot conax? The cyfra card is seca?

check the signal on your hd channels . to get the hd channels you need to have your dish and lnb skew positions near to perfect

.is it the new sport card you have

they should clear . if not ring rafael tommorow afternoon

I would do a blind scan and if the stations are still missing add in those transponders manually

New Channels available on Nc+ cards from today

    Polsat Hd
Polsat sports newa ( had some russian game there earlier)
    E!
    Fightklub
    trace Urban

some channels may differ with what card u have

Universal has a new frequency for anyone who had that also

Is this legal for use in your home? I would like to get cheap sports channels but only if it's completely legal. Every google search result on this question just talks about pubs.

Seems almost too good to be true! That's amazing. Hard to believe anyone pays for sky at all if this option is available legally.

    Yes.

But Sky is in English and Cyfrowy is in Polish. For some people this matters, for others it does not.

Is all the gear you have to buy initially very expensive? Satellite, box and so on? Would there be free to air stuff from coutries neighbouring Poland like France, and Germany as well?

Sorry for all these questions but I know nothing about this stuff at all.

Sorry for all these questions but I know nothing about this stuff at all.

    No, it is cheap.

All you need is a dish, a wall bracket, some cable, a LNB and a Set Top Box.

    Like this:

    http://www.adverts.ie/satellite/sky-dish-quad-lnb-and-bolts/2672573

    or this:

    http://www.adverts.ie/satellite/sky-freesat-satellite-dish-use-for-sky-or-free-tv-fast-delivery-latest-design/4156690

I have seen a very cheap set from a guy in Tallaght on Adverts, but can not find him right now.

and then for a beginner I would recommend a STB like the Ariva 150

The Polish stations are on a bird called Hotbird which is located at 13 degrees. These are the stations that you can get:

    http://www.lyngsat.com/Eutelsat-Hot-Bird-13B-13C-13D.html

or if you got a LNB bracket and got two LNBs you could also get a satelitte caled Astra 28 which will get you all the English stations for free. And if you get a combo box like the Ariva and stick up a Terrestrial aerial you will get the Irish stations too. Like this:

    http://sat-planet.ie/Saorview/dtt_saorview?product_id=156

Here is an example of all the bits you would need:

    http://sat-planet.ie/digital_tv_kit/Combo_box

I think you should make a new thread about this though called how to set up Hotbird 13 or how to set up Hotbird 13 and Astra 28 and move my comments here to it.

    Regards

Thanks very much for the quick and helpful reply.

I assumed I'd need a new, bigger dish because Poland is so much farther away than the UK.Could I just order the card and slot it into my skybox? Would the satellite have to be manually adjusted?

Oh, you already have a dish.

AFAIK the card will not work in a Sky Box.

You will have to move the dish a few inches to the left as you look at it.

The dish at the moment is pointed at 28 degrees.

Ok, I get the FTA English channels on that one right now, so to keep those FTA channels would I need another dish+box altogether like the one you linked to for the Polish stuff?

I do not know anything about a sky box so I am not going to answer that as I may mislead you.

    But you will need :

    and:

    http://sat-planet.ie/diseqc_switch?filter_name=diseqc

a bit of cable and a few connectors and of course an LNB:
