can you get your redeem codes to work? i tried on both my own irish acocunt and a made up amercian one..no luck..i get sent to the UI everytime i try..no errors or anything like that

should work on an american account - try setting up a canadian one and try

If its PS4, I think they've turned off being able to redeem codes for the meantime.

thats probably right as ive seen other guys complaining about the same problem. although my call of duty code worked minutes before. oh well. will try tomorrow

played about 40 minutes of assassins creed on ps4 today. the graphics are great! the character seems interesting and i know ive one heck of an amazing story to get through

Been playing this for over three days on pc and somehow I managed to do only 20% of main story, I keep getting sidetracked into doing other missions.
Haven't played a game for so long in a while. Great game, recommend it for everyone.

Can anyone give me some tips on upgrading the Jackdaw? It's taking me ages to get the resources I need ships only I plunder only have maybe 20-30 wood etc. I'm on sequence 7 or 8 and it's saying I m should have the jack far upgraded before I proceed

you can get freebies through uplay also....i got 70U for logging into uplay from the ps4 and android, redeemed all four goodie bags.

What is your armour and weaponry like?

If you have it upgraded to some degree and have mortars then start attacking Man o' Wars. They've a lot of resources, but if that's too much get some hunter ships after you, they've good gear too.

Here is a pic of my over all upgrade stats. I've just upgraded the hull and round shot. Have the mortars and also upgraded crew quarters. It's the metal I'm finding really hard to come across.

I think the multiplayer trophies shouldn't prevent people from getting platinums it's so annoying. Multiplayer trophies should be separate altogether.

Ya got all the trophies in brotherhood except a handful of MP ones. I think the majority of people are against mp trophies, wish devs would get rid of them once and for all.

i agree guys.there is only a handfull of games i buy with the intention of playing MP. call of duty, fifa and the odd racing games. other than that, i only buy for the storymode.

gona go for a game of AC now. resogun and call of duty are keeping me from playing lol

I was only missing one trophy from Brotherhood. The MP one which pretty much could only be realistically gotten by boosting. Ridiculous.

Overall though, I'm enjoying ACIV a lot. Much better than 3. My only real issue is that there's so little life to the cities/towns that with the exception of doing missions, there's little point in visiting them. Spend so much more time in the sea that (given how crappy the present-day sections are too) I almost would have preferred if this was a new game series just called Black Flag. Leave the whole Assassins/Templars thing out of it, replace the hidden blades with standard knives, change the hud and stuff, and then rather than a new AC game every year, alternate between AC and Black Flag.

Still though, really enjoying the game as a whole.

Ubisoft has been surveying people (in part) to gauge interest in a non-AC pirate themed franchise.

I'm still enjoying AC for the most part but they do seem to be stretching thin the overall story to make room for more games.

I would like if the ship sections were more indepth. As in being able to go below deck, upgrading your crew and finding specialists (navigator, gunner etc...) to improve things. Maybe even getting different types of ships, or calling on your fleet for reinforcements.

Still great fun as it is.

I am enjoying the **** out of this game on PS4. Just got the ship, so only have a relatively small area to explore, but taking out other ships is a blast.

The free running controls are kinda annoying when on land I find, but that's about my only complaint.

There's no need to play the previous games from a story point of view, and 4 is vastly better than 3, so go for it.

I am only about 30% in and liking it. I found it hard at first Capturing forts, especially with those waves crashing in at the same time.

Depends on how invested you are in the on-going story, really:

Revelations is the end of Ezio's story but filler for Desmond.

III is the end of Desmond's story (and a let down for me after five games' build. What's behind the magic door?

Not particularly tbh, took me an age to finally be bothered to come back to finish the Brotherhood SP and was getting bored of them tbh but this one seems to be getting rave reviews.
