Which one do you say? I hear people around my town referring to ketchup as "red sauce", I thought it was a local thing until I heard people in Kilkenny saying it. I never hear people saying it in college. What do you say?

I think a better question is whether or not one keeps such a condiment in the fridge...or refrigerator.

    Chef products are disgusting

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

There's only one valid question when it comes to ketchup - incidentally I just answered your question there - and that's Heinz or Chef.

It's the whole tomato/tomato debate all over again.

For the record, it's pronounced tomato!

    Ketchup... in most cases.
But on a breakfast roll it's red sauce... mostly so that they dont make a mistake and put brown sauce on it.
It's all about context... context is important.

I remember coming to Ireland for the first time back in the day, and falling about laughing at people calling ketchup 'tomato ketchup'. :D What else would ketchup be, but tomato?

A lot like the title of that Michael Douglas film, "Falling Down". :pac: (I know, betraying my age here, big time...)

Oh great traveller from another land, do you dare laugh at the Heinze Corporation who label their ketchup thus?
