nice to have a free sweat and a big bet

    was thinking one was due

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 559 ✭✭✭DB74

As Bet365 are currently best price Real (4/6) I would advise

    Back Madrid at 4/6
Lay Madrid @ 1.65 (backers stake of €52.08)

Guaranteed Loss of €0.52 but with €50 free bet to come

Posted this in the tips thread as I didn't see this one...

Pre game back Under 5.5 goals @ 1/16

    In play BTTS @ 4/6

Risk is 3-3 or above, thats about it. As a first leg tie I can't see that happening.

Pretty good shot at a free 35 euro, not to be sniffed at I think!

Thinking along similar lines but rather with over 0.5 goals and BTTS, only danger is the 0-0

Have not won on any of these things yet so may go with the safe bets. Last game was the City-United match. Fancied long shot as the freebie and narrowed it down to either Evans first scorer or 2-3 scoreline. Guess which one came in..the same one I didn't go for

Was thinking of backing United anyway tomorrow at 4/1 so might make that one of my bets, not sure which one yet though. Wil be watching this thread closely for ideas.

OK, brain a bit fried after long day so if anyone can verify the figures below for me would be much appreciated

€50 on United at 9/2 pre match and same again in play. Lay United for risk of€247.44 at 5.8 on Betdaq. Total outlay of €347.44

United win returns €550 from Bet365 and loses €247.44 on Betdaq = €202.56 profit

United don't win returns €50 inplay bet from Bet365 and returns €50 (€51.55 minus 3% commission of €1.55) plus stake of €247.44 = overall return €347.44 or zero profit/loss

So basically a stake of €347.44 at odds of 1.58 with no potential to lose?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Austria!

^the maths on that seem fine to me, Collie D.

Is the over under first half goals market available in-play?

Over .5 is 1.30 Pre match
    Under .5 is 3.4 In-play

    Over .5 = +15 (15 profit no loss)
    Under .5 = +70 (120 profit 50 loss)

I wouldn't be shocked to see no goals in the first half. United can be very cagey away in Europe, and Madrid have a counter attack to rival any.

You're better off backing Madrid and also backing the draw at best odds rather than laying Utd. Same bet but could save about €15

    €170 on Madrid @ 4/6 returns €283.33
    €62 on Draw @ 18/5 returns €285.20

    Man Utd win - profit of €550 less €332 = €218
    Draw - profit of €223.20 less (€50+€170) = €3.20
    Real win - profit of €113.33 less (€50+€62) = €1.33

The high street markets are so close to 100% in football matches that the exchanges are rarely worth using anymore due to commission charges

I fancy Madrid to win this one, gonna put my pre-match bet on a win for Madrid and take a punt with the free inplay bet on Ronaldo to score first at 3/1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,981 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

ronnie first for me in play also and some
certainty pre match which will be under 4.5 second half goals
    on both accounts )1/50)
not sure what to do in play with the other one
ive a feeling ronny scoring first will be their worst result by a mile

is there anything wrong with this. ( i may have misunderstood the bet).

    Pre match £50 on madrid @ 4/7

At start £50 on ManU double chance at 7/5.

Madrid win returns are 78.50 £28.50 profit.
Manu or draw returns £120 £70 profit.

So am i reading it wrong that i have locked in profit or is the £50 free bet taken from my balance if I Madrid win?

20 profit with the manu or draw as youll lose the prematch bet but
    profit either way

    GOt this in an email

Place 50% of your deposit on Real Madrid Double Chance (1.18 at the time of writing)
When the game kicks off, place the remaining 50% on Man United to win (odds currently 5.25)
If Madrid win or the game draws, you win £59 plus get your £50 losing bet back - £109 in your account
If Man United win, your Madrid bet loses, but your Man United bet returns £262.50!!

I am going for the draw then will prob back real in play.

I think that guaranteeing profit breaks the T's & C's

"Where any term of the offer or promotion is breached or there is any evidence of a series of bets placed by a customer or group of customers, which due to a deposit bonus, enhanced payments, free bets or any other promotional offer results in guaranteed customer profits irrespective of the outcome, whether individually or as part of a group, bet365 reserves the right to reclaim the bonus element of such offers and in their absolute discretion either settle bets at the correct odds, void the free bets or void any bet funded by the deposit bonus".

    Just reading the terms,
Both your pre-match and In-Play bet must be paid for in the usual way. If your free bet loses, your stake will be refunded to your account within two hours of the end of the game. Maximum free bet per customer is £50*.

So if I have £100 in my account to start.
£50 on madrid. Then £50 on Manu DC.
Madrid win and I get £78 back other bet is beat so final balance is £78 down £22
Utd DC wins and I get £120 + £50 refund so final balance is £170

    Is this correct?

Couldn't be bothered trying to lock in profit. Have won 2 out the 3 I've done in this offer.

Haven't even looked. Cert for the pre-bet. Normally wait 20minutes for in-play bet. The two bet I won for this offer were 0-0 draws can't see it happening tonight though.:(

heres how i see it, actually this is how it works..been doing them long enough to know

prematch madrid you get 128 as you get you in play bet back on utd dc so profit 28 if
    madrid win
if utd win you get 120 50@7/5 but lose you prematch bet so profit 20
real win 50 +28 +50 in play bet back 128
    utd win 50 + 70 (lose your 50 on madrid) 120

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,351 ✭✭✭magherakid

First bet Real Madrid over 2.5 cards 6/5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 488 ✭✭theblueirish

Cheers, as its a guaranteed outcome I have went for:

pre match Madrid to win to nil @ 13/8

in play will be BTTS @ 4/6

Haven't decided yet if I will stick a tenner with PP on utd to win to nil@ 10/1 to guarantee a profit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,981 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

ron first it is at 3s

no idea what to do as a second in play
ill see how the match progresses

second in play madrid -2 10/3

think theyll cover the -1 but may as well go for it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,645 ✭✭✭Luap

Went for under 1.5 goals in play. :P 7/2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 936 ✭✭✭Fonze07

50 on over 0.5 goals pre match at 1/40

50 in play on Van Persie to score anytime at 7/4

Well i fecked this up. I thought it was the pre match bet that was refunded but its the in play match that was refunded.

I fancied the BTTS so I should have made that the pre kick off bet. I would have returned £83 for that and had my £50 refunded.

By doing it the other way around I ended up losing £17

Just on this a 0-0 would have meant you lose all three bets but get the inplay one back no guaranteed profit there.

They probably made money on the first game and the unpredictability of the tie leaves them open to make more on the second one!

So 50e on over 0.5 goals then its time for decisions, hmmm.....

Does the initial 50 euro bet have to be at odds above a certain value(1.5 or above?)

If the bet in play loses do you get the 50 quid back or do you get a free 50 quid bet that has to rolled over 3 times?
Bookies are normally very sly in the T& Cs so hence my suspicions.

    Thanks

Great value, so i put the bet on more than 0.5 goals & basically have a free bet of 50 quid.

    Pretty much.
Has to be the first in play bet though.
0.5 goals should be safe, especially with two attacking teams.
In play bet is up to yourself.
I'll probably wait until the first goal is scored to know that I'm safe.

under 4.5 second half goals pre match for myself and the wife 1/50

gonna do utd in play on one account

undecided about the other or whether to stick with ronaldo
first after doing it last time as its like something that
would come back and bite me in the arse or whether to
    chance rooney first at 11/2

havent won on last 3 of these so anything would be good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 693 ✭✭✭Uncle Mclovin

    I'm a small bit confused.

    50 on Madrid at 13/10.

50 on ronaldo to score next in play.

Will they refund the ronaldo 50 if he doesn't score next?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,630 ✭✭✭Alpha Dog 1

Just put 50 on a guaranteed result ie under 4.5 first half goals or over 0.5 goals.
That 50 is safe then baring disaster.

Then you have a free 50 euro bet in play.
Free as in you still have to pay the 50e but it will be refunded if it loses.
You still need 100 euro in your account. Bet 365 use it as a method to get casual gamblers to lodge money to the account.
Very few will actually withdraw the money once the bet is over and would be more likely to use the money to bet on other events, ie Cheltenham next week!!

They are not offering less than 4.5 first half goals or more than 0.5 first half goals. Asked in live chat, same answer.

Anyone have any other suggestions to guarentee first bet?

The way I personally look at this promotion is a 50 free bet but I would be betting more on the game anyway so basically I'm putting a 50 bet on United to win at 2/1 and then in play putting 50 on them to win as well. I'm getting a 100 bet thats only costing me 50 :-) happy days!
