What did you achieve today? Major and minor accomplishments acceptable! I'll start.

    1. I got a bit of study done.
    2. I ate some vegetables with my dinner.
    3. I got some exercise.

    Yesterday:

    - Rewrote large chunks of a Python script at work and now it runs a lot more quickly and efficiently
    - Went for a 6.5km run and my back wasn't playing up
    - Cooked tasty roast chicken and veg for dinner, and managed to resist the urge to make a late night chocolate run *pings halo*

I've just realised I didn't do anything yesterday that I could count as a victory :(

    Better change that today!!

Managed to get loads done in an insanely busy few days at work
Got up early and put a curry in the slow cooker for later
Had 3 Butlers chocolates at work yesterday and didn't use it as an excuse to say 'stuff the diet, it's ruined now anyway' :pac:

I cleaned the printer and replaced the cartridges and remembered to take the chicken out of the freezer this morning.

    I made it to my 2 pm class after only going to bed at 8 am;
    I actually paid attention in said class :);
    I just sorted and started on my laundry;
I am getting ready to pull another all nighter so I can tick off another paper.

Wow, writing that down made me realise what a badass I am. Drinks on me everyone .

Off topic: The 31st is my adopted birthday! Happy birthday to your son. Someone made a mistake on my birth certificate so until last year, I celebrated my birthday on the 31st. Since finding out, I now celebrate it on the 31st and the 1st :). I have a soft spot for people born on my adopted birthday :).

    I studied some more.

    I made a packed lunch.

I ate salad and drank a smoothie with my dinner.

I caught up with a friend I haven't seen in ages.

    I fed my Furby.

    I started on my presentation.

After many dead ends, tears and panic attacks I managed to get an stray dog into an amazing new foster home, who'll give him the love and attention he's needed since he was dumped by his old owners, until he gets to go to his reserved place in a local rescue this weekend.
If that's not victory I don't know what is. \o/

I went to my most horrible double lecture of the week, when I was in absolutely no mood to go to it. And I took notes.

    I ate lots of fruit.

I got all my seminar reading done well in advance of my seminars this week.

I've been taking my vitamins regularly without forgetting any.

This is a cool thread :)

I collected some money for Medecins Sans Frontiers in the morning. Probably made about 30 or 40 euro, so it was alright. It'll do something for a displaced person in South Sudan anyway! I had my first encounter with Youth Defence (God, they're a bunch of utter lunatics, aren't they?!), and signed a petition for abortion rights in Ireland that was coincidentally just around the corner from YD and their abortion photos, I got an innocent smoothie which was wearing a hat (some campaign for Age Action.. It was kinda cool!), went to the library, admittedly later than I'd planned, and didn't get as much done as I'd hoped, but it wasn't so bad, then got chips with a couple friends and now I'm listening to music and doing a bit more revising! :D

Practiced my driving. Did pretty well until it got overwhelming & I had to stop because of the stress... But I made some improvments & am going back out tomorrow. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,016 ✭✭✭lilmissprincess

I made it to the top of Shandon Bell Tower today. Looked down and all.

Seeing as I freaked out and cried last time half way up and refused to go higher, im proud...

Fair play, just keep at it :) I'm learning to drive too, and I'm really nervous because I had a little accident before Christmas, so my victory is that I'm starting to get my driving mojo back :D

Good for you! :) This morning's practice went much better, Sunday morning driving is pleasant, all the lights are in your favour. Feeling a lot more confident.

I finally got to go to a Man U game this weekend after being a fan for 20 years :)

I was at a party at the weekend and they put a fried food platter next to me, and despite strong urges, I didn't binge and purge. First time I've managed that at a party in aaaages!

And I got a job interview for tomorrow :)

I bought an entirely wheat-free load of shopping, full of fresh food and a kilo of porridge oats for 93c

I also worked out a plan of action for study this week.

I'm always lurking on this forum but here's my first post(I think). In reference to the driving victory's I had one yesterday too.

I some how passed my test last November but yesterday was my first solo trip-I'm so nervous I just always felt I couldn't do it on my own but I did and it felt good, nerve wracking but good. I just have to keep at it now!

    Victory for me!

After an absolutely shitty week last week and a relatively ****e Monday, I've just booked summer flights to Bermuda and Miami with my best friend. I don't think I've ever needed the dream of a big crazy ridiculous summer holiday so badly.

Mission Bikini Body is ON ;)

I spoke to my little sister who lives in Hungary for the first time in about three weeks today.

She kicked the absolute sh1t into me over this stupid boy who ended it with me last week, told me to cop on and know my worth in the loveliest way and that I was a big ride who deserves way more.

Little sister 1: stupid boy 0.

    I love that girl.

    Yesetday:
-Stopped procrastinating, got up off my ass and went to three museums. :)
-Took a ton of photographs and gave my camera a good airing.
-Ate some sushi for the first time in months.

    TodaY:
-Signed up for O2 Priority tickets so hopefully I'll get tickets to Beyonce and not have to suffer the indignity of missing out on an artist I like, like what happened with Pink. :(
    -ATE ALL THE CHOCOLATE

    Great idea for a thread!

    I tweeted about women's rights.
I complained to a website about an article detrimental to women.
I was good to my skin - cleansed, toned and moisturised!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54 ✭✭janeo80

I had a good day at work, beating targets and whatnot! And am currently organising things for a work thing in 2 weeks, trying to do little and often instead of all those late nighters I know I tend to do, wooh!

(I might also cleanse and tone later! ;) )
