35 points yesterday. Played much better in easier conditions than the previous round and scored one point more!

38 putts let me down - 3 putted 15,16 and 17. Sliced a 3 wood on 18 which just kept bouncing and bouncing (exactly the way it wouldn't if it had been in the direction of the green) until it was a foot out of bounds. I caught an overhanging branch on the 9th which sent my ball as deep into trees as possible - 2 shots to get out and that wasn't too bad a recovery.

I played the 19th twice after the round.

Got out again today on my home course, having it on my doorstep is working out well 5 rds in 7days i have hit 98,98,93,94 and had a 87 today with 20pts on the front9 with 1 stupid db on the 5th 2 shots to get out of greenside bunker (useless out of bunkers) then came home with 18pts with a double on the 13th i went in the drink, then had a triple on the par5 16th i went in the drink again, finished par par pretty bloody happy with myself i wont be off 17 for long if i could just avoid bunkers, tree's,water & was a better putter im sure i could be a single figure golfer:D we all gotta dream right..................

Back out today with the brother hoping it would stay dry and turned out to be a really good day, both weather and form.

    88 gross (16 over)
    4 par4's, 2 par3's, 2 par5's, 5 bogey's, 4 dbl bogey's and one 3 over par.

I'm putting alot down to my putting and using the new club (52 Deg tiger shark) from close in,both were very good for me today. Still fluffed alot of shots but much less than usual. Still, I did do a victory dance :D

We played another 9 without counting just to waste some time and managed my first birdie too :)

Now to try and do it again and keep it consistently around the same

Why does no one ever seem to have a bad round on this thread?!

I had a personal worst yesterday, worst round in 15 years I'd say.

19 points off 8, probably could've had a few more points but picked up a few instead of putting out, as I was already in the .1 back zone!

Previous week was 31 points. My pull hook is cancerous, lessons booked today!

I suppose not too many want to broadcast the crap rounds. Primarily I find it is a place to brag about the good days. I've had quite a few recently and it's nice to get the thumbs up from fellow golfers, most of the time anyway, only got one thanks for my superb +11 off 14 yesterday at the O'Meara, feckers the lot of ye ;)

If look at mine alot have been bad enough,I've just been happy with them,or at least part of them. The bad ones are as important as the good I think.

But yea, the good ones can be better lol.

2 poor enough weeks of 30 and 28 for me. Should have done a lot better but the short game has been in the toilet and my putting is beyond poor.

as seen in another thread im going to take a completely different approach at the weekend coming as regards course management and shot selection. Strokes in the mid 90's for me the last few weeks hoping to go back to the mid 80's

Had 42 pts yesterday in open singles at The Heritage :) (off 10) included 5 birdies and 2 scratches. Sitting -2 on the 8th tee i started to think about score then boom, double bogey scratch! Still very happy with the performance, hoping can get one or 2 more scores before winter

Playing off 17 at the moment. Hopefully the weather is decent but the forecast is for rain. Is it a long course ???

Longish, but not too bad off forward tees. If the wind is blowing it will be tough, however it is a great track & I'm certain you will enjoy it.

Hopefully the weather is better than forecasted.

    42 pts, off 18, had a 6 on the 18th, being greedy would have liked 43 ;-)

Over 6900 off whites 7320 off blues so its a very long course, especially at this time if year. Id imagine ul be playing off the whites unless you want to play off greens which im guessing are society/winter tees?

Jaysus Tonesy, it was only last week I was asking about you! Good to see you back, I was struggling for ppl to fight with/piss off/wind up with Greebo the only volunteer.

Good score, by the way and it will have you back down to your sought after single figures. Whats the aim these days? you should start a new thread about it :)

Sup! Cheers for that, down to a low of 8.8 now. V happy as i havent practised this year as ive been v busy! Gaving said that I still think i have a score or 2 in me before winter kicks in :) I would say my only aim is to be able to get to 6 or 7 and stay there and enjoying the game.

Going out to 10 a month ago really pissed me off, i was giving away .1s out of nowhere as i knew i was playing good i just wasnt scoring, grrr. My round monday gave me a real taste of what par golf feels like, and i have to say it felt great making that many pars and birdies. I doubt il start another "goal" thread but will keep posting :) hows your game/hcap these days anyway, 2 or 3 last time i talked with u no?

Played yesterday afternoon, thankfully looking at today's weather.

    78 strokes (+7)
    11 pars
    7 bogey's
    32 putts

9 fairways & 7 greens in regulation, an uninspired round with several birdie chances missed.

14 GIR and only 3 pars with only 3 3putts? Doesn't add up?

GIR means you will be putting for Birdie or better. (on in 2 on par 4s, on in 1 on par 3s etc)
