A couple of things that help.

Two pints of water before bed.
Energy drink like powerade in the morning.
    A long shower.
Good breakfast with plenty of eggs.

    Sorted.

Only way to prevent a hangover is to not drink to excess

Minimizing a hangover is a different kettle of fish!

    Sorted.

I rememeber one night drinking 2 pints of water before i went to bed , i had about 10 pints drank , and i woke up the next moring and the bed was drowned wet . either i p1ssed myself or i was sweating excessively from my groin area .

A friend of mine aged 50 swears by 2 solpedine before he goes to bed and he's grand the next moring .

I also noticed that by not smoking the hangovers aren't so bad as when you do smoke .

my cure for hangovers works 100% of the time , i stopped drinking completely . no more hangovers ever :D

you've got a serious drink problem mate. that's an unnatural amount of drink for one man to consume.

Lotta judgement on here this evening. Not that I need to justify it but that was over the course of about 12 hours and I probably drink on average once every 4 - 6 weeks:pac:

Tip your taxi driver well on the way home.

It won't help your hangover, but it will leave you with less money to buy more drink.
If ur going home surely ur done buying drink???

After suffering horrendous hangovers I have a fix for easing symptoms the next day. And no point telling op not to drink, some of us like socialising and drinking there's nothing wrong with this. Hardly makes us alcoholics.

Pint of water before you go to bed, this is absolutely essential
If you have the shakes or anxiety and don't want to suffer through it until they go (in your case you have to be somewhere next day) then I suggest taking a Valium or Xanax or any type of benzodiazepine/tranquilliser to take the edge off the mental part of hangover.
Coffee is a hangover cure also so a cup of this before you set off along with your benzo will do the trick.
Food. Greasy food doesn't work for me but a roast dinner does. It's comforting and filling too.
    Water and plenty of it

Seriously wouldn't recommend benzos to get over a hangover. You'd also wanna be careful taking those if there's any booze left in your system. If you really must use another drug to get over a hangover stick to the green

One 0.25mg of Xanax is not going to be a danger. I'm not talking about popping loads of them on top of drink! Xanax intensifies your drunkness so don't mix them. Fine the day after.
All I know is I rarely get to go out drinking but on the occasions that I do, I take a Xanax next day and an hour later I'm 100% again.

I know scumbags who take xanex and valium coming down off cocaine and they take a lot of it .

seems to work for them , For me i perfer to stay clear of the cocoine in the first place . seems to work better ..... and is cheaper

if you have to take xanex to stop the suffering from drinking , you shouldn't be drinking in the first place . Man the **** up

Need some help folks. Have a big day/night drinking session planned for this Saturday. I’m looking forward to it but not the hangover that I know awaits me on Sunday. I have a busy day planned for Sunday also and really dread the thoughts of suffering all day.

Can anyone recommend any good ways to prevent a hangover or is it impossible?

Get some medical oxygen.Take a few deep breaths and you will be as good as new

    I agree with this.

I know Benzo's can be very addictive but they are a god send for a hangover.

Last night I drank an awful lot (lots of shots & cider) when I woke up I felt like death itself, then I took 2mg of prescribed Xanax & 10 minutes later I felt brand new. I rarely drink so I rarely have to take Xanax as well.

It's definitely the only thing that's guaranteed to work.
