    131 km/h gust at Belmullet at 9pm.

Unbelievable wind in Wexford today. Sea at Kilmore quay was crashing in over the harbour wall. We've just lost our electricity in the last 15 mins though luckily it flickered for a few mins before it went so we were prepared. Within 6 mins of it happening the esb had a message on their emergency line - fair play to their efficiency, at least we know that they knew. Very romantic here with the fire and candles but we'll need it sorted soon to save contents of the fridge and plug in phones etc for communication

Wow power just restored awwwwww romance gone ha ha!!!!

Was quite breezy earlier, calmed down quite a bit now.
No fancy gusts recorded on my system - 22 knots the highest. (have to invest in a top of the range Davis system me thinks!)

Well fairly uneventful here down in the glen... went out a couple of times when the wind was really howling only to discover a gentle breeze and a warm evening!! :O Meanwhile at the top of the glen the trees were about to take off and the noise was pretty impressive!! The moon occasionally poked out from between the madly racing clouds making the whole scene a bit eerie... love it!
