Early set up,looking to get Pienaar for A.Johnson myself,he should rise a bit after his goal taday.

Looking a bit short with Carzola and Gibbs missing but should filed a competitive 11 with Pienaar in there.

Looking to downgrade Nolan for midweek as I have him & Cazorla who wont be playing, I'll just bench Santi as I want him for the next games vs Newcastle/Southampton.

Options for Nolan are the Norwich lads who are good value but have tough fixtures to come......Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Pilkington. Others are Routledge, Duff, Gera, McClean and maybe a sneak one coule be Moses if he continues to play under Rafa.

Then next weekend I'll shift Silva back for Mata or Bale.

I need to ditch Giroud I decided not to take the points hit to get him out last week and it's cost me big time.

Giroud at 8.2m to who? I've nothing in the bank. Used the free cash to upgrade Fell to Silva.

I was thinking Berbatov. Fulham have an easy run.

    I have:

3 Arsenal players who won't be playing
    Berbatov who has done nothing
Rafael whose place is under threat
Gallas who didn't play today (will he play next game?)

Thoughts on my most pressing issue to be dealt with using my FT?

And they have two home games coming up. Thinking about Ba to Berbatov as Newcastle have Utd and Arsenal the next two games.

Yeah kind fixtures for Berba you would think. He's done very little since that Arsenal match, actually I'm not sure if he's scored or assisted since?

I was in the exact same situation, losing 0.3 on Giroud over the past couple of weeks. Barring one week when he scored twice, having him in my team had been distinctly meh. With zero in the bank also I've just taken a hit to do Shorey & Giroud to Stam & Defoe. Was tempted by Berbatov but Fulham seem lacking in any creative threat recently. That may change against Southampton, Swansea and West Brom, but I wouldn't bank on it, they haven't replaced Dembele or Dempsey effectively, and Ruiz is out for another few games.

My team's in a mess now for the next GW

Have Cazorla and Gibbs who won't play, then I have 2 Stoke defenders and 2 Liverpool attackers and Stoke play Liverpool at home.. And on top of that Fellaini sitting on the bench doing nothing

    Begovic/Jussi
    Gibbs/Shawcross/Demel/Clyne/McAuley
    Sterling/Cazorla/Mata/Michu/Fellaini
    Berba/RVP/Suarez

Don't know what to do with my one free transfer.

Gibbs Walcott and Wilshere. Wilshere could probably go though I literally just got him in, the other 2 are probably gonna be in my side long term.

Yeah, I'd move Wilshere on. Brilliant player but just not 'FF-friendly' for lack of a better term!......he's been one of our best players in nearly every game since returning but he's rarely gonna assist or score.

Thinking Fonte might be a better cheap option for the bench than clyne.

    EDIT:

I'm worried about fielding 11 on Stephens Day so think I'll do Rafael to Cameron.

Suarez is also going up tonight but I don't want to take a 4 point hit. Hoping I can wait until the 26th to do Tevez to Suarez but I might take my first hit of the year if droves bring him in over the next few days.

Why Cameron? Stoke have Liverpool, City and Chelsea in the next 4.

Cause I'm fed up of Stoke get clean sheets and not benefiting as much as everyone else. Just thinking of all the extra points I could have had Wilson not broken his leg (Cheers Marc, way to ruin my FF season).

I watched the Spurs game today and they just suck the life out of every team they play.

Who would you recommend at the same price range?

Well if you have balls of steel maybe Hughes - Fulham have SOT, SWA, WBA and WIG.

If you think Caulker/Dawson will continue to get game time then they have to be worth considering.

Other than that, I'd be looking at a Swansea defender. Next 3 fixtures aren't too bad.

I've brought Berba in. Won't have the courage to captain him. I'll captain Bale I think. Although Bale does hate me.

Not touching a Fulham defender regardless of fixtures. Did you watch them today?

Don't think Caulker/Dawson are guaranteed starters and Vertongen is just too expensive (or maybe I should look at squeezing him into my team at the expense of someone else)

Already have Davies so that's enough Swansea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,236 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

    My team as it stands:
    Mignolet - Tremmel

    Demel - Hughes - Nelsen - Shawcross - Davies

    Michu - Fellaini - Silva - Sterling - Bale

van Persie - Berbatov - Suarez

Desperate to get rid of Fellaini tonight before his price drops even further but I'm struggling to think of ways of a suitable replacement. I have 2 free transfers and nothing in the bank. 1 player I wouldn't mind having is Mata but his price is due to rise as well tonight afaik. Has anybody any suggestions as to what I should do as I'm pretty much stumped.

Away from the computer atm as this feckin storm has caused a power cut but I think it's around the 103 million mark.

if your hell bent on getting mata in i think you have to decide who to keep, suarez or silva??

you could do fellaini to mata and suarez to say benteke, villa have some good fixtures after they play chelsea tomorrow.
only problem with doing that today is that mata and benteke don't play until tomorrow.
    or else you could do

fellaini to pienaar and silva to mata.

is andy wilkinson a cheap way of adding an extra stoke defender at 4.4 mil?? he's played the last 2 games, is he just covering for an injured player that will be back soon? (i've seen very little of stoke this season)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

He replaced the banned Shotton last weekend and kept his place this week as Shotton was given a more advanced role on the wing instead.

I don't think the 0.4 saving over Cameron would be worth the risk.

cheers thanks, the .4 would let me get bale or mata in for sessegnon in the next gw but might just go with cameron so and look at other ways of saving money. camron is on 89% now so i'm hoping he doesn't rise tonight as i want to make sure none of my players get injured tomorrow before i make the transfer.

    I'm conflicted whether to:

    1) Get Bale in for Morrison or
    2) Get Benteke in for Tevez

Tevez will be rotated over the Christmas games and was poor today. Benteke has good fixtures until January, i have the wildcard to reconsider then. Bale can wait for one more GW, I reckon. Will be getting him in after that though.

As for other forward choices, Torres is, well, Torres and Berbatov has not done anything FF worthy in seven games. The lack of Ruiz is really hurting him.

Am I crazy to be looking at Rafael OUT - Walker IN

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,195 ✭✭✭irish son

Just did Enrique and A. Johnson to Davies and Mata for a hit, Mata going up tonight forced my hand, hopefully he doesn't get injured or sent off tomorrow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Tevez is too unreliable, think I might have to bring Torres in for him - t least he plays the full 90.

Torres is going up tonight but I think I'll wait and see how the match tomorrow goes before doing anything. I can afford the extra 0.1 and think its worth it to see what happens. Might still consider Cazorla out, Mata/Hazard in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Does anyone remember when we're likely to hear team news for the games on the 26th?

I'm going to postpone any change I make. My team is going to be very stretched come Wednesday so I want to make sure my transfer out is someone who 100% isn't playing and my transfer in is a guaranteed starter.

I'll take the rafael price drop on the chin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

FPL says Rafael is due back on the 26th.

I don't actually lose any resale value when he drops tonight, I;m more worried about Torres/Mata going up. Will be watching them closely tonight.

    I do unfortunately.

Well a tight hamstring kept him out of the game last weekend, Fergie ruled him out of tomorrows game on Friday.

I'm not sure if it means he's more likely to play on the 26th having missed the last 2 games or less likely cause he's returning from injury.

Really depends on how long Rafael is going to be out for.

If he's back on the 26th then he's worth keeping. although as the rest of the United defenders get fit the risk of rotation is going to increase.

In terms of FF they are both very similar stats wise. Although Rafael is leading on goal attempts, goal attempts in the box etc.. Rafael has 31 touches in the penalty area vs. 14 for Walker.

    Would you not consider Vertonghen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

    Shane732 wrote: »

    Can't afford him.

Hopefully United don't perform well and concede a few, should mean Rafael will be back in contention if he's fit.

Fergie should fit him in somewhere, perhaps even try him on the wing. He creates chances and is well capable of scoring. 2 goals and 4 assists already this season, the same as Baines!

Had enough of Berbatov so he's going this week, any suggestions on a replacement? I have 7.3m to spend, thinking of either Benteke or Weimann from Villa.

I've kinda made a promise to myself to stick with Berbatov thru thick and thin as long as he's in the team, it's been a bad few weeks but I've got a feeling the turn will come soon, possibly the return of Ruiz could be the difference, I don't think any other striker at that price will score as many points as Berba between here and the end of the season, the guy is pure class.

Bad move. Fulham are strong at home. 3 out of their next 4 at home. Southampton next. Ruiz should be back very soon, and Sidwell (and probably Duff) back for next game. Berba, despite Fulham being awful yesterday, managed to create a few opportunities for himself. Top class player. I've transferred him IN this week, and i'll captain him also. I can understand you being frustrated, but sometimes patience pays off in this game. Would be foolish to transfer him out now imo

Southampton, Swansea and West Brom in the next three for Berbatov? Keep him for these three that's what I'm doing anyway. These three games are perfect for Berba to show what he can do.

Villa have Chelsea, Spurs and Wigan so I'm not expecting goals from Benteke
