An early upset by Newcastle would be sweet followed by a lot of this

Any further news on Sterling's rest, I don't see the need for it to be honest

Ihope he plays. But he does play in every game, every week. He would have to take time off at some point.

Funny to think that two Irish international players - John O'Shea and Ciaran Clark - are the ones tasked with trying to ruin hundreds of thousands of people's weekend by frustrating the two most popular captaincy picks.

City are a lot stronger on paper but we'll see what happens.

Mancini sees sense, Tevez starts! Giddy up!!! Hopefully he can run amok against a dodgey Newcastle today and prove his worth when he actually gets to start!

Tevez goal and a City clean sheet please. I brought in Nastasic. Cheap way into a top class defence.

Hopefully Kompanys absence will mean massive holes in the city defence

Is it really top class without Kompany in it ?

Mancini--Balotelli left out as he needs to train more which tells me Tevez will be in for a good while,Hello Tevez for GW18............

i'm sure Kompany will be back soon. Newcastle are very lacklustre going forward without Cabaye and Barfa. i don't have any City defensive coverage myself but will be looking to do so, probably not til the wildcard coz i have other more important transfers to take care of first

City could be easily 3 up already. Fearful here as a non-owner of any City players

Fearful as a Newcastle supporter. Looking decidedly one-sided

He might need another goal or 2. RVP and Suarez are playing against Sunderland and Villa at 3 so they could run riot.

Samir Nasri playing very well by all accounts. On-form could be a sneaky differential at 8.0
