That's good. Personally, I've always found him to be a bit hit and miss, depending on the venue and the band he has with him... or, as in Vicar Street, the absence of a band. As Mojo magazine once described him on the cover, he's a stubborn old buzzard. Twenty minutes of Scenery in the RDS was insufferable, and No Hidden Path in Malahide and Cork was worse.
This would be my assessment of the times I've seen him. The good far outweigh the bad, but the bad were truly awful:

RDS w/Pearl Jam * (terrible venue, in fairness)
Point w/Crazy Horse 1996 ***** (I regarded this as one of my favourite gigs for years)
    Point w/Crazy Horse 2001 ****
    Vicar Street *****
    Vicar Street *****
Vicar Street ***** (the last night was the best: Ambulance Blues in the encore)
    Malahide Castle *
Cork Marquee *** (a significant improvement on the previous night)
Dublin O2 **** (worth the admission price for Burned alone)

Well Delbert, How did you rate this latest Neil Young and Crazy Horse gig?

I left the Malahide concert feeling a bit underwhelmed and didn't really know why, the set list was pretty great and there were a fair few magic moments, although as you mentioned No Hidden Path was pretty dull!

My brother seen the O2 gig and was blown away, He said Neil was in fine form,

I had high expectations for this RDS gig from ready your post and coming to terms that the Malahide gig must have just been a bad night for Neil, Unfortunately tho I was in an area with BRUTAL sound this time around, so I'd have to say I enjoyed the Malahide gig more, Neil and Crazy Horse seemed to be having a great time in the RDS tho, and the lucky few in places where there was good sound told me it was a great show!

    How was it for you?

Rest of the tour has been cancelled due to Sampedro breaking his hand.
