I've went back to cod and have done a 360 on it.Love it at the moment, having no issues getting a game with a good connection and finding most of the maps fairly enjoyable. Don't know if it was from taking a break from cod for almost a year or if the game has been fixed, but finding the online aspect of it probably the best I've had in a COD game in a long time. Sill plenty of **** heads playing it, but can't blame the game for that.Think its starting to become uncool to be into cod ,so hopefully th emajority of the little ****es will feck off over to bf4 and the cd community will become more like it was in the good old days.
(I know this is the mega bitch thread,so if I had to complain about one thing in it, is that sniping is wayyyyyy tooo easy)

Put it on there for the 1st time in a few weeks. Every game I get put into I get booted from within 30 secs. "Lost connection to host" then it reads "you joined the game illegally"

Been getting probation warnings for first time ever myself, keep getting booted from games etc. and the most annoying is when in pre game lobby it keeps trying to balance teams then count down timer starts and it starts balancing all over again! :mad::mad:

Why is knifing in this game so incredibly worthless? With lag issues in this game already bad the success rate for me is pretty much non-existent. It has the span of about 5cm. So stupid.

I remember having to go knife only for a while when I lost a bet and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I think if you're running ballistic knife, lightweight, extreme Conditioning etc. it helps a lot

If your using a gun setup and have to try and knife someone then yes it's ****

Yeah I'm using a gun setup (although I do use lightweight). It's almost like Treyarch only looked at this aspect from MW2 and said lets nerf the **** out of it.

Really. This is the right thread for that yeah? I was playing a game yesterday when I wrote that because I went to backstab someone, it didn't work, then I went to stab him after he moved and nothing, then it shot me. Looking at it in the kill-cam, it was so retarded.

Also I'm not a player who supports being noobish with a knife. That knife perk in MW2 that made you stab from SMG distance annoyed me like any other person for instance, but when a basic function like knifing is worthless its stupid. Maybe it was down to lag as well, who knows. It is BO2 after all.

Ironically the ballistic knife is really overpowered in terms of lunge distance which is highly annoying.

Anyone any idea what could be wrong, tried playing a bit this morning but had constant connection interruption just sat theere jumping all over the screen, kepy flicking between 1 and 4 bar, checked my connection ping is at 39 with 40mb down and 18 up :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Haven't been able play anything for past coupe days tried all of the COD's I have and it starts every game fine then about 5 secs into it connection interruption kicks in and it becomes unplayable

That's something on your end I'd imagine.

Connections have been pretty bad the last couple of nights but even getting a full lobby is hassle now. Sitting there for 5 minutes with 8 people in a lobby waiting for 2 more to join. Rinse and repeat every time you try to play.

Donno why it's changed recently though, has been perfect up until Monday there and haven't been able play anything since, connecting to PSN fine but then trying to get a game online is just not happening....

I have got fedup of this game so i decided to turn to the dark side and snipe. But i dont have ghost on. Only play hardcore now. Connection is still up and down but im not getting kicked out like some people did.

Was playing a game of hardpoint the other night and there was only one team on the map for about 2 mins.

Happened me a few times going back about 2 weeks ago. Every time I signed on to it, it got no further than the Multiplayer/Campaign/Zombies page. Been fine since then though.

been happening to me just today and yesterday, thing is its a slim model i just got( 2 weeks ago been fine till yesterday ) from a second hand shop (still have 2 and a half month warranty left on it) after my fat model got RLOD...

so im wondering should i take it back to the shop -which means the hassle of buses out to Derry etc & potentially no PS3 for a week or 2 till they try repair it first - or wait and see does it correct itself somehow, ive tried hoovering the vents out etc (as i always do ) installed the game textures to the HDD & it still failed on me once since then..

its every couple of hours it happens then its fine for a few hours but im just worried it will get worse when the warranty runs out then im pretty much screwed

i wonder is it a blu ray laser fault? or is it to do with BLOPS2 servers ? its something i never had happen with the fat PS3 tho

update to the above i got into online chat with an activision rep, he told me to try campaign for a few hours to se if it froze - it didnt - so he told me to try this

Delete all the black ops 2 files from game data and save data utility.
Restart your PS3, run BO2 and install the update (patch) and re download any DLC you had.
Restart again and you should not have any freezing at all!
You can install textures if you want, but re-start your PS3 straight after installing.

Did this and was playing today for a good few hours.. -im scared that by saying this ill jinx it- but so far its been fine, i have noticed a very slight freeze every now and again as if its gonna lock up but it corrects itself and runs again normally after a split second and this only happens once every few games

it is very inconvienent though that you even need to do this.. i actually love Black ops 2 its my favourite COD so far but this kinda stuff treyarch seems to pull with PS3 users pisses me off no end.
