    Wikipedia, LOL

As I pointed out earlier, nothing is free, i.e tvs and antennas cost money like saorview boxes do but free to air refers to that it requires no subscription to view the channel. Is that sinking in yet?

The expression 'Free to Air' in relation to TV in Ireland is redundant.
It's below the waterline, twenty thousand leagues under the sea, sunk, 'doing a Titanic'.
    Is that sinking in yet?

Anti-British numpties would be displeased if they showed BBC News, and BBC News has few Irish stories.

Who would've known that choosing a news channel was such a minefield of potential faux pas.

Sky News doesnt report on how crap the banks are and what dodgy things they have been doing and are still doing.
    LOL
UK news reported more on the bank debt problems here than the local news. Here it was politicians saying they've fixed the problem. In the UK they were relishing in the euro crisis like Nelson Muntz "ha ha"

Sorry to be vulgar but "RTE news now" is sh1te and a waste of taxpayer's money to boot.

Sky News tends to have more Irish news. Particularly so since they have a news center here and a version of their news channel tailored for Ireland.

So, Sky News is the best trade off.
SKY don't do any Irish news unless it's makes it to the International scale - see http://news.sky.com/ if you don't believe me
SKY don't do Irish Weather either

I often wonder what even happened to 'Sky News Ireland' featuring Gráinne Seoige + with loads of Irish news . . . .

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_News_Ireland

It ran from May 04 to Nov 06 , 30 minutes of news for 30 months.

TBH I've never understood the UK scheduling mentality of going head to head with identical programs. News at 10 and all that. Who was going to watch Sky news Ireland when it was on at the same time as RTE ?

There is a game you can play especially during election campaigns, you'll often see the same politican being interviewed by a gang of reporters and all the channels will show the same soundbite. Most of the time they aren't looking into the Sky camera or talking to the Sky reporter.

SKY don't do Irish Weather either

Apart from where she talks about Ireland you mean? Click the weather video in your link. Even the most biased person cant say shes only talking about Northern Ireland when she waves her hand from Cork to Belfast and talks about the south west.

They also have a European and World report too.
