No, they are sly dirty rodents, that rub their arse on your countertops!

    They dont point,
    Or retrieve,
    Or scare Tinkers,
    and i dont like em
    QED.

And they leave footprints on my car:eek:
I have an agreement with our local cats,
They dont come near my house,
    I dont shoot them!

I used have a cat who would sneakily climb into the bed in the middle of the night.

Better than the 40kg rottie x who thought it was great fun to climb onto the bed in the middle of the night, effectively crushing any human in the way.

Had a wee incident with a cat today in my house. Walked into the kitchen and one had come in the window. He startled and tried to get out the back door. The lunatic took three good run and jumps into the bloody door! Then he legged it upstairs trying to get out the bedroom window. Got him back down and out the back door.

He hit the door with some force the tool..... Really can't stand them.... Been sneezing since he was in.

166, given your tender age, I've decided not to rail about your blunt approach to relationships.

Instead, I am going to take the car to the mechanic tomorrow as part of dropping of the OH's C5 whose electric windows he has murdered. As part of that I am going to ask my mechanic (who has the patience of a saint, but who equally is happy for me to source parts) to show me the workings of my engine and the throttle body so I can take pics for dgt.

I am then going to explain the problem in front of OH and get mechanic to agree that it's OH's driving style but when my car is in for it's service in the next month he will check it.

After he checks it, and finds no problem I will gloat at OH and cause him to buy me dinner.

If after he checks it and concedes that OH's heavy foot has identified a problem in advance I will buy OH dinner.

And no you can't have dgts 166, I have a donor 156 I was going to offer dgt if there are any parts in common he can use and he has the means to transport the 156

    Jaysus, fair condescending remark there....

To me it wouldn't matter who the person is, if they're damaging a possession of mine, I'll tell them, that's not due to my ''tender age'', that's just common sense. :)

    I didn't mean any offence :)

My Oh is not the best driver in the world and I accept that, he also has selective hearing and doesn't listen.

His good points far outweigh the potential damage he may do to my car :)

Absolutely understand sometimes it ain't worth the hassle... Still those Alfa's be a fairly fragile car if I'm honest...:o:D

On another note, just back from the 02 seeing Michael McIntyre, absolutely epic really - the man is just hilariously funny even just watching him say nothing. Great gig..

Strangely enough I got in the car with him today, and told him not to floor it but to take it gently and he did and it worked :D Now to cure him of his habit of driving along in fifth gear regardless of his speed  (not all the time, just occasionally :) )

And thankfully he's his own car which he uses far more than mine :)

And the mechanic told him the same :D

Big gig? I hate the O2 when it's crowded

No complaints then, out of interest did you ever post a picture of your GTV? It's red isn't it?

Big enough so it was, full house but it was the tiered seating area so it wasn't bad, bit warm in there though. McIntyre himself was unreal though...

Yes, I'd imagine by now they're long thawed out though :)

Kilberry to Slane road was the usual ice rink with the frost!

Some arsehole kids are hitting my car with their football, its not deliberate but it is leaving scratches. I've asked them to stop but no effect. Car is parked on the street, joys of city living. They're only primary school age and think its a bit of a joke. Nothing can be done about it I guess? I've only been in the area 6 months, its a rental. cue sad face :(

You could speak nicely to their parents?

Or get a cover for the car when it's parked up?

Not sure who the parents are, its a terraced road. And they probably wouldn't see a problem with them playing in the road.. I doubt its illegal. If they weren't hitting my car I wouldn't give a **** to be honest.

A car cover on a street-side parked car would be a vandal magnet. Its been keyed since I moved here already (5 cars were done so not targeted). Might just move and be done with it

I'll be looking for the lad on the side of the road with the engine out of his Peugeot that stopped to fix a small leak :pac:

Yeah, not much choice I guess.
The paranoia otherwise is too much of a bother.

I'd end up living in a bunker though eventually.

Afraid I won't be about, inside all day trying to do part of a pointless project for counter intuitive subject! Hideous work load per week!

If you are up round these parts you are more than likely lost :p

You want to live somewhere like I do.

The address is different from the "real address" on the voters register, it doesn't show up (either) on google maps or GPS.

Makes ordering from Dominos a pain in the ass, as they don't recognise the address, but on the other hand it's difficult for people to find it :)
