In other news, my 156 just made me laugh all the way up the N11 on the way home. Driving along listening to 98FM of course and the rear windscreen fogs up, naturally I pressed whichever button on the dash to clear it and the signal on the radio just went all fuzzy... It was random so I pushed the button off again and the radio signal came back...

Each time I have the radio on and need to clear only the rear windscreen there's no radio signal! Couldn't stop myself laughing all the way home...:D

Same thing happened to me last month in a brand new car, that's a brand new design to the market. Reported to the dealer and hopefully they got back to the manufacturer to sort it.

Only happening when the signal wasn't fantastic, but really shouldn't happen on a brand new car.

This talk of xmas presents for the cars. Think i might chance that terraclean on it, but a decent hands free kit/mp3 player parrot 9200 still the one to go for or any other recommendations?
Obviously all this after a decent service.

How about you save up? Like put a bit of money away every week. It does really add up over time. :)

As for red dwarf, "sucking ass" I cant do much. :pac:

I'm really considering it for the 156 too actually. Have to see if the figures add up though.

By season nine, I assume you mean "Back to earth"? It does that but season ten is pretty good!

And now for something motor related, blew a indicator bulb today..... It would have to be the expensive one!

Yeah, cracked it with a stone a while back.... Had it sealed up but the seal must've come loose and water got in..... She shorted as I unlocked her today.... That's going be an interesting change.... Any experience in finding lenses for them?

I assume you book through terraclean ireland on here or has he being banned?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,320 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I replaced one before, I don't think they're too expensive new. Don't know if any breaker would sell it without the rest of the mirror

Yeah, quick check on part finder confirmed that earlier.... I'll call a dealer and see if you can get them separately and see what's cheaper....

I suppose if you contact them through boards via PM then they'll know you. Best of all, they come to you so you can get the Punto done :D

Then again you'd prefer to go at the engine internals with wash-up liquid and a brush :P

    Car fixed

    150 Euro

    Clogged vacuum pump.

It now gives exactly as much power as a 1.5 Turbodiesel should. Which isn't much anyway. But at least it's more.

There is a user on here claiming he had it done, 110 for a punto i think.
I looks like it could be good.

I don't personally but a few people have been commenting on the wheeler dealers thread saying they got it done and they notice a difference. Whether it's a placebo effect or not I don't know.

I enquired about getting mine done and it's €140 + VAT. Not bad considering that he travels to you from Louth!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,792 ✭✭✭coolisin

Ill hold the umbrella gary you come over take the engine apart, cheers, i promise tea and cake! (tea and cake may not actually happen)

Will do man! I want to get the turbo rattle sorted first though so I won't be getting it done anytime soon.

I've been thinking about it since I saw it on the last series of Wheeler Dealers!
