Those financial figures explain why Barton is still there and why they'll likely be stuck with Warbs for a good while as well.

The new club is continuing the habits of the old one

Fans paying for poor governance and their tactics to get rid of Barton is just appalling. It will be a case of constructive dismissal by the time january comes around.

100% agree. What they are doing is pretty much the definition of restriction of trade. Barton is a contracted to Rangers to be a footballer, as it stands he is not even being allowed to train. Under EU law, any sporting ban must be proportionate to the offence that caused the ban. I cannot think of any other precedent anywhere where a player has been banned indefinetly for arguing with his manager.

Good result and performance, seems the team and management took the criticism from the fans to heart. Some changes made which resulted in a very comfortable victory.

They're a shambles staggering from one fiasco to another.

It actually doesn't even bother them anymore though. A precedent has been set for them and they know the escape route in a worst case senario. It's a shambles alright.

I've actually had fans of that club tell me that the accounts are looking good. Deluded is an understatement.

Sure why would he post a question to you specifically in a thread you claim not to look at?
But I think he got the answer he expected anyway.... that's a pretty lumpy looking rug under your feet at this stage Jelle.

Only trying to help out, because maybe he forgot about that thread which was specifically set up because you weirdos can't help yourselves.

I'm not exactly interested in responding to rhetorical questions.

We all know what you lot think about the accounts, no matter what I or any other Rangers fan say about them we'll get to hear the same old tripe (a bit like your post now)

    So knock yourselves out.

Jelle Bingo, it's a bit like telly bingo only more entertaining.

Since you were asked for your opinion:

    Obsessed - check
    You lot - check
Dig at a poster rather than post - check
Avoiding the actual discussion - check

More specifically, how would you like the going concern matter addressed?
    Fan funding?

Debt/equity funding? If so what kind of security would you as a fan be comfortable with the club giving?

There's a lot of messing that could go on with these type of arrangement and it's exactly the type of thing Rangers fans should be looking at given what's happened the past few years.

    Edit:

Bonus points for you're weirdos edit.

Why dont you engage in the discussion instead of continually defending the indefensible? You wont be getting a call from Jim Traynor to congratulate you on your Baghdad Bob routine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,737 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

It's odd that Traynor is now a knight in shining armour again for The Rangers fans. Traynor declared them dead in the Daily Record a few years ago ......and then actively promoted Craig Whyte while looking for a job with them when he was there, ...........and subsequently worked under Charles Green, ......then disappeared for a while again........but is now back again telling the rest of the press to not ask questions about what's happening with Joey Barton.

Dave King said he was going to pay off the debts of oldco to preserve the dignity of rangers fans, maybe he's saving up for that and that's part of why they're trying to get rid of Barton for as little cost as possible.

A thread that was set up so that you could specifically ignore the financial situation and any questions on it.

Of course you could prove me wrong by actually responding to my post.

Never has, why would he start now? Be odd if he did I say.
Eirebear and BBE have always been the more reasonable posters and willing to engage reasonable conversation.... Jelle is either not intelligent enough to hold that conversation or else so blinded by his loyalty he's willing to ignore it and be thought of as a fool.

It was specifically set up because you all cried that at the time, the biggest news story in Scottish football was being talked about in your thread and you were all to embarrassed to talk about it.
Sugar coat it all you like, but yous were afforded a hush hush "we don't want to talk about it" thread to deflect having to answer or even read Celtic (or others) fans questions (and admittedly some jeering) about the clusterfućk your last club became... and the one your current club is fast becoming.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,311 ✭✭✭✭weldoninhio

Joeys back!!! Refused a cut price payoff and there was no legal way to sack him. I'd imagine UEFA and FIFA will use this episode as an example how not to deal with player discipline. Farce from start to finish.

    Lol.

You actually expect people to believe you 'wanted to talk about it' ?

No Rangers fan asked for that thread to be created, but don't let that get in the way of the truth.
That thread was created because all of you couldn't spend one single day from coming in this thread to spout your pathetic nonsense and act like a bunch of no-life obsessed *****.

And what would you know, nothing's changed.

Haha, another evening of jelle bingo.

It must have been Chelsea fans requested the other thread.

Come on Jelle, we're all adults. We can have a mature discussion about the financial shambles your new club is in when it should have learnt the lessons of the old club and lived within their means.

Talking about problems is good, hiding them away in another thread is just burying heads in the sand.

Loved the oversized poppies and the 'Lest we Forget' under the badge.

Another poor performance and result from Warburton. Surely there needs to be a conversation as to whether he's the right man to take you guys forward? He's not doing it at the moment despite easily having the second biggest wage budget.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

The board would be fools if they werent compiling a shortlist of candidates for the job in private. January will tell alot in terms of the backing he gets to bridge the gap. Are they prepared to loan more money to the club for him to spend...

IMO, Warburton is not comfortable with pressure of being in the same league as Celtic and the media circus the job now brings and his team are just not good enough for the money spent. The lack of bang for your buck was to be expected tbh

Joey Barton signed off from training with Rangers due to stress:pac:. Imagine being taken for a ride by that clown.

The gift that keeps on giving.

TRFC - "Seems we can't get rid of you... so you may as well come back so we can make use of you if we have to pay you anyway"

    Barton - "Can't. Don't feel well"

Just seen on the Sky Sports News app that they have mutually agreed a termination of contract to be finalised tomorrow.

Well that was a successful move for everyone involved. 8 games for a player that should have been able to dominate in this league.... I think Barton got a shock at how bad the players around him were. And at this stage of his career, even up in Scotland, he can't carry a team by himself.

Warburton presenting an Army medal to a dog.

Is this actually real or is it a parody???
