I'm pretty sure they were compelled by stock exchange rules to issue it this morning. Have to agree with the lads here not the time for petty point scoring and snide remarks.

    Lads? :)

I couldn't bring myself to actually say I agreed with Jelle :D seemed an appropriate term!

RANGERS will honour Sandy Jardine at tomorrow’s match with Stranraer as each Light Blues player takes to the field wearing his famous number 2.

Special permission has been granted for every member of Ally McCoist’s squad to bear the legendary fullback’s number on their shorts in tribute to a legend lost.
Sandy lost his battle with cancer last night and ahead of kick-off tomorrow Ibrox will come to a standstill to honour one of its greatest ever.
A minute’s silence will be observed before the match, with players also wearing black armbands during the game as a mark of respect.
On an emotional day for everyone associated with the club Rangers will collect the League One trophy just eight months after Jardine unfurled the league flag to open the season.

Shocked to hear about Sandy Jardine, very sad indeed.

    RIP

Last home game of the season today and as was mentioned earlier all the Rangers players will be wearing Number 2 on their shorts today to honour the legend that was Sandy Jardine

Bell, Foster, Mohnsi, Jig, Smith, Black, Peralta, Law, Shiels, Aird, Daly

Simonsen, Hutton, Faure, Clark, Gallagher, Crawford, Cribari

Unchanged side, 20's played last night and have important games coming up so no surprises there, would liked to have seen Faure, Crawford, Clark and Gallagher start though.

Hope they turn it on today, for the fans and for Sandy

**** game as usual so far.

At least the fans are in good voice, singing pretty much every song ever sung to players.

First time they show some urgency pays off right away.
    Brilliant goal from Aird.

Isn't McCulloch on close to 1 million a year? I'm sure there's some more players not far off him, doesn't be long all adding up, crazy money to spending on the lowest leagues in Scotland.

This is absolute madness. There playing in a league with some teams that would finish mid table in the LOI First Division. They could field a team with a wage budget of half a million for the year and still walk the division. It defies logic to spend the money they've spent in the Scottish 3rd division.

When you have a guy like this calling the shots for so long, you know you're doomed...

“If you look at the balance sheets at the end of next season you should see the strength of the two companies. We are in the Third Division and Celtic are in the SPL and what I’d like you to do is promise me at the end of this season, when all the games are played, examine the balance sheets of the clubs and tell me which one is the strongest?

“Then let’s see who has the strongest balance sheet.”

    I'll repeat Kess's mod instruction:

Mod Post: A reminder to folks that trying to bait supporters by posting alternate names for a football club may lead to a yellow card.

Folk are welcome to post in any superthread they wish to, but nobody is free to use superthreads or this forum in general as somewhere to try and bait/flame/troll other posters.

I dont think Kess explained what he was on about the last time despite several people asking. Are you going to explain these seemingly random warnings?

One more Police investigation to add to the ever growing list. How long before there is any arrests is another matter

White collar criminals rarely see the inside of a jail cell

There aren't enough qualified people working in the police to effectively investigate white collar crime.people with the relevant legal and financial qualifications usually get better offers than an undervalued role with the police.

The most effective way to deal with these people is to run them

Agreed but surely they are qualified to follow paper trails and even see there has been a pattern since Whyte also HMRC who are supposed to be investigating Whyte are moving at the speed of a disabled snail on the matter

For a bit of light relief amid our ongoing troubles, can I just say, on account of my 1,690th post that....

We are the Rangers and we are the people!

    ;)

Well said, that club he speaks of doesn't exist any more. Good for you BBE for moving on.

    Broxi,

It's just a wee bit of Sunday satire. I'm actually pretty low on the staunch-o-meter so just relax.

That's the thing, there are so few capable of carrying out these investigations that they end up going at a snails pace.

Anyways that's a bit boring for a football forum but my point is that the fans need to vote with their feet and money. If you keep giving money to these vultures they will keep taking it. There isn't much of a legal deterrent.

And that is what is happening now the sale of season tickets is going at a snails pace and Fridays announcement has swayed many who were still willing to give the spivs time. Even the crowds at recent games are down outwit yesterday. Yes the attendance figures show good numbers but as season tickets are included then they are bound to.
