The way its going now it looks as if we're gonna get no one in , And if that does happen it'll be a bollocks of a summer as usual, Walcott Song and RVp all gone, okay fine we knew more or less that RVP was going, Like Spurs have straight away started spending there modric money Dembele would have been a good signing for us same with LLoris, I just don't know how many more seasons we can survive on with this attitude soon we're gonna run out of class players to sell who's going next summer ? Ox, Wilshire ? ****ing sick to the teeth of it

Ahh Jeezus lads, how will we continue our trophy winning bonanza of the past couple years without such instrumental champions as Alex Song, RVP and Little Theo?!

    Wenger Out!

And who the f**k is this Carzola character I keep reading about? Or is it Corzola? Or gorgon-f**king-zola??

    Stay off the crack.:pac:

I read somewhere the club have given him until Friday to decide?

Good. I'm glad we're not leaving it until the last minute...

With Wenger in charge we will never run out of class players to sell.
But more importantly, if Wenger has turned a corner and is buying players not likely to look to move for a paycheck, that can only be a good thing.
The problem with buying kids, regardless of talent, is someday they want to try something different.
You cannot say that about Cazorla, Arteta, Podolski, Vermaelen etc.

I don't really care if Walcott goes, he can be pure d0g****. It just looks bad again on us that's all.

I hate to say it but we do need a marquee signing, to knock the reputation we have of being a "feeder" club.

You're right it was £12m after a certain amount of appearances, dropping to £9.1m settlement.
I doubt Southampton will get anything from his sale.

As far as I know Southampton will as they developed him?

    Note the sarcasm.

Seriously though, Walcott's never reached the heights that were hoped for him, his only useful attribute his is pace and that's only useful when we're 1 up and teams have to come out of their shell and he can get in behind.

With so many teams playing deep and defensive against us and trying to grind out a draw I'd be much happier having someone who can help breakdown that set up, find the killer cross or pass to unlock the door.
Theo is not, and will never be, that player. Let's just say Barca won't be jizzing in their pants to hear he might become available.

FWIW I think the Ox already shows more footballing nous than Walcott, although he is still too young for full first team use, and Cazorla will more than likely move out to the right when Jack is back, the fact that Wenger gave him the no 10 shirt is the biggest clue that this is his plan.

If anyone comes in with £12m, sell him, get Sinclair for about £8m off Swansea and Yann M'Vila or Ettienne Capoue for whatever they're going for and let's get on with the season.

Throwing in one bombshell idea here, read this morning that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers around £8m for Michael Essien. Ageing, but still a powerhouse and could definitely playing a holding mid role for a few more years.

    Possibly.
I trust Wengers judgment, he doesn't feel Walcott is worth more than £75k a week and Theo seems to think he is worth £100k a week.
Wenger has OX & Gnabry, and i'd like to see if Gnabry will now get some game time if Theo goes.

    ;)
Essien would be a fine addition at £8m, but what's his wages like? £120k +?
That and his injury record would be a stumbling block.

    4 things;

[a] We don't play with a holding midfielder and haven't done for some time now, so signing one would be pretty insane.

Southampton settled with us for Walcotta couple of years ago as they needed the money up front at the time so they'll be owed nothing should he transfer.

[c] We were a feeder club long before this Walcott story emerged.

    [d] Michael Essien is finished.

From what ive seen of Gnabry (which isnt loads I will admit) and read about him he does seem to be an exceptional talent but first team games no way not yet hes still to young, Carling Cup games yes, Next Gen Series yes but actual EPL, Champions League games no its to soon.

Well I was on the Barca thread they did say last year his form did dip considerably as the season went on, but other than that theres no sign of him leaving there jut strugling to find a place for him in the team, also the paper that reported it Marca is a pro Real Madrid paper.

Considering he's first two years with us, we would be well within our rights to sue them more so than compensate them.

In his day Essien was one of the finest midfielders and could have made us a title winning side (perfect replacement for Vieira) but I wouldn't want him now. A complete shadow of his former self.

Is that the transfer fee paid to them settled up?
What I am suggesting is something different. Is there not a FIFA rule that clubs that develope a player are entitled to a small % of future transfer fees?

I'm by no means certain on this rule or arrangement. Just asking :)

    a) Yes we havent but maybe that because we havent had one? Wenger wanted Song to be that player but everything points towards Wenger not being happy with his forrays up the pitch last season, Wenger himself has come out and said if a truely defensive midfielder becomes available he will sign one.

    C) Shhhhhh I fcuking hate being called a feeder club hence why the Walcott story annoys me more so than the fact he might be moving on.

    D) Correct I woildnt want Essien anywhere near Arsenal he was an amzing player and a great sgining by Chealsea at the timebut he no longer that player injurys have ruined him.

    Everyone's a feeder club.

Milan had to sell their best forward and defender to PSG this year. Milan!!!! to PSG!!!!!!

It's fair to say that the lure of Old Trafford and the power of Fergie keeps players at, and coming to United, but beyond that, you've either got unlimited funds, or you're a feeder club.

We're just better at it than anyone else.

    .

Only Arsene Wenger can say that.;)
I'm not suggesting he would be a starter, just that he will at least get game time.

I think he needs time to develop and to strengthen.
    He will be great though.
On the other hand it won't take long for Aneke to break though as he seems big, tough and talented from what i've see and read.

From what i have read, Wenger has hinted he can replace Walcott.
Gnabry himself has said Wenger promised him he will get first team action.

I think Walcott will go to Liverpool.

From F365 Besiktas coach Samet Aybaba says there is a 'high possibility' the club will sign Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

Hopefully will get the ball rolling with transfers. Free up some wage money.

Hope not Liverpool. Think they might mount some type of top 4 challenge this year with Sahin and Walcott

The club should only give Walcott till the end of the day to decide on his future so it will give us time to find a replacement.

Sky Sports News reporting Aaron Lennon could be on his way out of Spurs that AVB doesnt see him in his plans, does anybody think he would be a great player for us. Reminds me of Marc Overmars, lightning quick and is techniquely very good.

    Based on what?
He wants more money, has a year to go, will go on a free next season.
    There's a bit of a trend here.
The club has given Theo 48hours to accept £75k a week, if he doesn't then he's gone.
