I took a short flight over Co. Meath this afternoon and shot this short video clip with my phone. Watch in HD and please excuse the noise.

    Lovely sky!

Pity to see hardly a field left untouched by the scourge of one-off housing... we really have ruined our lovely countryside and this aerial footage confirms it.

    Thanks Su!

heavy drizzle/rain hitting Cork city about 30 mins ago , sickening ! , and aint looking good for rest of the weekend , thursday was cloudy all day too , we got one great day in this 'fine' spell in Cork!

I'm just looking at that leading shot and the majority of the fields there seem to have no houses in them. Hardly a scourge.

One off housing and distributed developments are historically the way it was done in Ireland before the Normans and British gave us their city ideas.

Bad one-off housing may be a scourge. But not well organized house developement.

Just had a light shower in Dublin 4. It killed off the neighbours BBQ.
Still quite humid and no breeze.

Yes looking bad at the moment with a deluge showing in charts however that could all go Pete Tong. This thread had run its course.
