This either means your dish is slightly offline for theses transponders or the signal is a little weaker. This could be down to the installer not taking the time to find a balance or can also be down to corrosion of the dish itself, Sky dishes don't last long.

The dish is about 6 years old so you could well be right. Maybe it is time ior me to look at buying a new dish so.

AFAIK the version from satellites-xml.eu has at least 3 TPs wrong and misses the one for EPG data

What are people using to play IPTV channels on enigma2?

I have my own M3U playlist of channels but I'm finding TSmedia hit and miss to play them, some work and others don't, even though they work perfectly on VLC on my PC when I check.

Has anyone got 1channel movies playing on TSMedia without juddering?
I'm running TTGs Hv3 image.
I upgraded TSmedia to 6.2 last night to see if it helped but movies still judder.

OK I'm having some bad luck. Just home switched on box and all I have is terrestrial channels. No Satellite channels. So done a service scan and noticed only one scan tuner DVB-T.

You could try using the Alien2 to scan just one transponder and see if you get any better signal strength/quality. For instance according to King of Sat E4 HD is on Astra 28.2E Transponder 8, (11856.00 V) . If this makes no difference then probably a fresh dish, lnb and re-alignment would help.

Obviously, a badly aligned dish will manifest itself most during rain showers. Therefore, this is the best time to align your dish. However, you can do the job when it's dry outside.

Get a wet j-cloth and drape it over the lnb to simulate rain. Then move the dish to where the signal is strongest.

It might seem as easy as this but DIY installs are completely hit or miss. This method still aligns you to a single transponder on one polarisation (horizontal or vertical) on either high or low band (determined by a 22khz tone from the lnb) where a professional will use a meter and find a balance between a few transponders on different satellites (yes it's a collection of satellites, not just one) on different bands comparing both polarisations.

i noticed i was missin a few more HD channels like atlantic and living do just did a full scan and they are still gone, anyone else the same? SD are all still fine

They're gone for good, you'll most likely lose all HD in the coming weeks as sky roll out their new anti cardshare measures on HD. SD will still work for these channels

I upgraded from your v3 to v4 image, the image seems a lot more responsive thanks.
I notice that Cross EPG (0.8.1) is behaving strangely.
Lots of missing entries, I have tried re-downloading\reloading, adding new satellites.xml file and trying the tip you mention above the entries with no luck.

I think you mentioned somewhere about downgrading CrossEPG as a workaround.
Can you tell me what version to downgrade to and where I could get it?

If you delete the crossepg folder from system plugins and then just go to the downloadable plugins and install 0.6.2 in the usual way that should work.

On the phone so not 100% sure of the path but afaik it's usr/lib/enigma2/python /system plugins. You might be able to do this through dream Explorer on the box itself. If not do it with filezilla.

Only works on SD channels

Select a SD channel, then active the PIP ( how to , will depend on your image, for Hyperion , press OK, then when you have the channel list , press menu and you should see the option, or when viewing the channel, press the red button to bring up list of extensions, there is an option to activate PIP.)
Then flick to another SD channel, and activate.
play around and you'll get it.

I can confirm this is working perfectly on the latest version of the AA2

I got it on TTGs Hpv4 image -> Plugins -> Download Plugins -> Other -> Spark7162_dvfd_support (pkt)
Rebooted and now the front panel displays the channel name rather than "boot".

i get this error about some module when I try do it, it says move picture in picture and a few other options but i cant get a second channel to show up

Hi Folks,Im using Open AR-P & seeking the latest info on 'automatic volume adjustment' I've tried some of the tips mentioned but volume still goes up & down when switching channels, to be honest I can't see the need for it in the first place as it only seems to cause problems, I used a DM800 for yrs & never had any issues with volume so I'm at a loss to see the sense in having it in the first place, why is it there?

I downloaded the pli hd skin but I'm reluctant to ftp the usr folder over as this might overwrite everything else in the usr folder such as the skin I have now or does it work differently

It won't overwrite anything, it'll just add to the folders contained in /

Are you streaming it or did you copy over a file to the hard drive? Can't say I've ever had that problem with recordings. You could try pressing the audio button and seeing if there is another audio source available. Also switching on/off dts down mix would be worth a try.

i sent the file to my hard drive, i have tried any audio options i could find. i have just started using a new samsung m3 drive, never had this issue with the old drive

Is it is a different format than other recordings? Maybe it's one the aa2 isn't fully capable of playing.
