Lol. What's that guy been taking?!

It was a typo lad, take it easy.

They say airplanes are the safest way to travel:D stats prove it! They also prove it is not! The point is stats are a load of crap and the media find the ones they want to make a story.

And yes 1 pill can kill you. Your dealing with criminals circles, your also dealing in circles of people on the brink, broke, desperate for some money, it could be rat poison your swallowing, 99% of people dont test their pill before popping it in a dark night club or when hammered at SHM! Dont fool yourself and say nobody has ever died from taking something they thought would give them a buzzzzzz.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that - intelligence being inheritable - the sons and daughters of Doctors are probably smarter than the under class.

Of course, there is regression to mean, but I think that is beyond the scope of this self righteous conversation.

"under class" - who are they, exactly?

In the context that remark was made in, it was clear that you were implying "working class" children were somehow defecient in these regards.
In the context, it was clear that I was commenting on why middle class kiddies were afraid of prison.

Now, would you care to back up that implication and be honest about your position?
Would you care to explain why you immediately assumed I was suggesting that working class (and not upper class) people do not have functioning brains? Perhaps this assumption on your part is an insight into how you view the working class?

Perhaps like very Christian people who perceive sexual innuendo everywhere, it tells us more about what's in your mind than in the minds of others? Be honest for a change...

I'm seriously debating whether it was one of the many who overdosed....

it was a man/woman (sorry for any disrespect honestly don't know) being carried by atleast 8 stewards, head thrown back in agony, muck, blood all over their face (barely recognisable) eyes rolled back and body kept jumpin up like twitching..seriously was like out of a scarey movie!!

i thought it was a man yet seen they had a cherry design on their wellies so honestly not sure! Seriously I can't even describe what I seen...ugh

Just don't know why on earth the person was being carried through the pit???

There's a world of difference though - as I'm sure you'd acknowledge - between the underclass and the working class.

    ...

Yes, the implication being clearly that others weren't and that these others also had problems with "cause and effect". Do please back up those statements with a few facts, if you would.

This is reminding me of all those people bitching about chavs after the london riots and then all rioters up in court turned out to be tarquins and portias.

    Silly billys.

Oh come on man, this is just pathetic. You need to read some Orwell.

The non-working class underneath the working classes. Karl Marx called them Lumpenproletariat.

That is, however, another change of topic I see after you last attempt at self righteous well poisoning failed. Every thread you enter turns into your own personal quest for CRIMETTHOUGHT . Each to their own, I suppose, but this is not your own personal fiefdom, so can we get back to the subject of the 7 stabbings over the weekend? What do you suggest we do?

Well Nodin has identified me as a class enemy, so unfortunately he does this on most threads that I post on. I can only apologise for my own temerity in posting here.

Are you going to explain and back up your remark now?

I wouldn't have used the term "working classes" in the sense you did. Arguably we are all, as workers, working classes. I would put the under classes as about 2 percent of society, the live amongst- and terrorise - the working classes.

I have explained it half a dozen times. Are you going to explain your rather odd reaction to it?

    No, I thought not.

I did it for him. Can we get back on topic, rather than continue this charade of a Kafkaesque search for Bad Thought run by you?

The 7 stabbings at the weekend, what is to be done?

Yup, I agree totally. I'm from a working class background. Note that I would not (and did not) use the 'working class' label for people who have no intention of ever working a day in their lives.

I have explained it half a dozen times...........

No, you did not. You tried to shift the focus instead of explaining exactly what you meant. You've also failed to back up your rather sweeping implication.

forget the class argument, its youths/yobs, who think its ok to walk around in gangs taking substances/drink to excess while carrying knifes and intentionally/planning on causing harm to other people.

That may come back to a particular "class of people" but the overriding issue will be education and parenting. We all know plenty of people who came from nothing not by getting lucky but by having parents who kept them on the straight and narrow, kept them in school and knew where they were. The parents of most of these thugs know their sons are thugs, they know they associate with other thugs. There is thugs from rich families too!

is it unfair to blame parents and our system of government/education? Education could also be exteneded to mean the lesson learnt when arrested. Someone here said they guy who stabbed 7 people had 22 previous convictions - he learnt nothing obviously, and actually by getting away with so much it merely encourages Irelands thugs to continue.

The person changing the topic - which is what happened at the weekend is you. You are looking to brand your ideological opponents as class warriors: we are both working class, a class- as Marx remarked- the most hostile to what he called lumpens. I suspect that you are from an upper, or upper middle class background.

but back on topic. What is to be done about the weekend's events? We are getting a lot of sand being kicked in people;'s eyes for Bad Thought, but nothing on that. From you.

Yet another juvenile attempt to shift focus. You stated
This is because middle class kiddies generally have a functioning brain and can associate cause and effect.

What class does not have a functioning brain and can't associate "cause and effect"?

    How do you know this?

As has already been mentioned, this seems to have veered somewhat off-topic.

I'm locking it now as the trenches are being dug, so put away your shovels for now lads.

I'd also like to thank everyone that posted the video of the flutes fighting in the mud - we couldn't have done it without you.
