I have the app on my sons Xbox and it was perfect all season to be fair. I have it on a couple of LG smart TV’s as well and it seemed to be fine any time I used it, albeit I mainly used it on the Xbox

I've had Gamepass on and off for a number of years now and always used a VPN to get a better price and have never had an issue with them 'finding me out'.

I signed up in Brazil for approx €61 a few weeks back and they cancelled my subscription in error due to a system glitch when I turned off auto-renew. I had to send off a request on the website for a refund in English with a fake Brazilian name and they re-activated my subscription no bother no questions asked so if I can get through that dodgy situation I don't think there is much concern over being found out

Anyone know a way of just getting Redzone for the season?

I had the Gamepass package last year that basically amounted to redzone and a few other things, but that seems to be gone this year.

I just bought a 2020 Samsung model TV which NFL state the Game Pass app is available on.

So I've booted up thr TV and the app isn't on its app store. Very disappointed.

I have it on my Samsung TV (a 2016 model give or take I think) no bother.

Mine did auto renew for just that.

160 quid is scandalous enough considering I just want eagles games and redzone. Shame they decided to remove the midrange option

It's not as expensive when you look at it like that, but compare the game by game price to the NBA, MLB or NHL single team packages and it's still overpriced.

    NBA: €1.30 per game

    MLB: €0.50c per game

    NHL: €1.20 per game

But look at the product being offered. There are very few games in the NFL that are not competitive or have some sort of playoff implications to them, can the same be said of the other 3 sports.

I assume they're on per team break down?

I've no experience with the NBA and NHL packages but the MLB one you get over 2 thousand games but no MLB programming whereas with the NFL, you get less games but all of NFL Network, Redzone etc. so each have their good points and comparing the value of one against the other isn't really comparing like with like.

The prices I posted are for the team packages where you just get your team's games, not the full pack.

I don't think the competitiveness of the league justifies the massive price difference. I'd estimate at least 85% of subscribers aren't going to say "Right, this league/my team aren't competitive so I'm not renewing.". Even if the Bears went all Cleveland and struggled to win a single game I'd still be subscribing because it's my team, right? It doesn't really matter about how competitive they are. It's my team and I want to watch them each week, even when they are sh*te. :pac:

There's no MLB Network on MLB.tv but you do get NBA TV on NBA League Pass with a 7 day archive/catchup plus a classic game and documentary archive.

If people don't think the NFL are price gouging international fans, take a look at DAZN Canada. They have exclusive rights to the NFL in Canada and have the same setup as Gamepass which used to be sold there, so you get all the pre-season, regular and playoffs plus NFL Network (I think. Maybe it's just NFL Network shows on demand) for $20 CAD per month. That's around €13 currently.

And that's just the NFL stuff. DAZN CA have all the premier league and dozens of other things included for the €13.

    We're getting gypped by them.

The way I look at it is that gamepass cost me €88 euro for the year for every game*, redzone, the draft, Total Access, NFL Originals etc.

If I was to get SkySports, I'd only be getting it for the NFL, for five games a week, some of which would be of no interest to me. Three of which happen at nighttime Ireland time.

At a quick look last year, These were the Bears games that were shown on Sky Sports last year.

    Thursday = 3
    Sunday 6 = 1
    Sunday 9 = 1
    Sunday Night = 3
    Monday night = 1

With gamepass I can watch all of the Bears games either Live or the 40 minutes replay the next morning for €5.50 or even €10 at full price without going holidays.

If I was to add Sky-sports to Vodafone TV it is telling me it is €20 per month for six months and then €40 per month after that. So even if I was to cancel it after the superbowl in February, that would still be €120 for the NFL season and I wouldn't necessarily see a Bears game on a Sunday evening.

I looked into the ESPN player which basically was gamepass for college ball...is that still available ?

I had it last year but not getting it this season as I have BT Sports again. it was €79 I think or around that price anyway.

It's not really a full 'gamepass for college football' though as they only have the games and conferences that ESPN/ABC show. It's got a great catalogue of documentaries though (all the 30 for 30's etc.) and was well worth the money if you don't subscribe to the BT Sports package I thought.

This is exactly how I am looking at it as well. I didn’t experience any issue with blackouts during prime time games last year so hopefully it’s the same again in 2020.

My issue is more 2020 related and the fact that a bit like my Sky Sports sub earlier this year, I could end up paying for a season which does not happen. I think the money speaks to itself and if it was a normal season, for me it is a no-brainer. But in 2020......

Not going with Sky Sports myself. Luckily I ‘live‘ in Brazil where GamePass is cheaper, if the season is abandoned at some point I can live with it.

Given that that there have only been ten positive tests out of nearly 60,000 to date and players and teams seem to be mostly buying in I think there is a reasonable chance of a full season.

10 this week after 0 last week. Plus at the moment, all the players are in camp. During the season, they are at home, so more chance of socialising and contracting the virus. Baseball was mainly fine during camp as well. The virus spread started once the season began. I would not be so hopeful I have to say.

Most teams as far as I know are at home, most haven't used hotels as camps.

10 positive tests is absolutely fine, once it doesn't spread like it did with the Marlins.

Mlb has had no major issues since that outbreak, and they are constantly traveling.

I don't see any reason for worry regarding the league being cancelled.

There has not been 1 week without cancelled games in MLB. Currently dealing with cases for Oakland. This is ok for baseball because they put in place shorter double headers, new rules etc. But cancellations for football, even 1 game, could be disastrous.

I'm cautiously optimistic too but regarding MLB, there are still games getting called off every couple of days. They can be rescheduled with double headers and using off-days and unofficially I think they'll be using winning percentage for teams like The Cardinals who might struggle to fit in the full 60 games. But rescheduling an NFL game won't be anywhere near as easy and getting a level field where every team plays the same number of games might be difficult.

Jets have been in a hotel and I think one of the LA teams was in all or nothing? But agreed, numbers are nice and low so far.

Under the agreement I believe no player can be forced to stay in the hotels.

Chargers are staying at hotels except for rookies and think similar with the rams, they use hotels for meetings etc.

Anyway back on track.. If you are on your holidays in Brazil or similar places, it's well worth the money, even if the league does stutter to a finish.

Yes, buying gamepass for the first time regardless
Is Brazil the best value right now?.. was about to subscribe and will 'take a trip' to wherever is best value. 'Went to Turkey' for my Netflix, what a deal that was.
