xzibit looks to be the first rapper to not be all for ocean coming out, a bit harsh by X and this man is trying to promote a comeback album too, could prove bad timing.

There was another guy who came out (lol) the other day and said he was against it as well. He felt that it was a publicity stunt or something. He was a complete nobody on Game's record label.

Bad from X. Can't expect everyone to be okay with it though. I'm real surprised that more people haven't spoken against it. It does help that Ocean is extremely talented, I suppose.

Not impressed with X for that one, i knew there'd be at least one high profile figure who wouldnt be happy with Ocean's coming out.

Praying for the sake of humanity that DMX doesn't get asked about this lol he literally will say the first thing that comes into his head :D The dog can be blunt to say the least !

I think Xzibit is starting to back track a bit on twitter now though. X and ocean could be eminem & elton John part 2 ! I'm all for a collab between the two if it gets settled could be exactly the kind of song Xzibit needs.

Not completely relevant to Frank Ocean, but some interesting articles I read recently about hip-hop and homosexuality/homophobia.

Brother Ali wrote a piece recently on Huffington Post about hip-hop and homophobia, including his own past homophobic lyrics, which was partly in response to Frank Ocean's revelations. Interesting read:

Second article is about hip-hop's queer pioneers, and profiles a number of gay hip-hop artists. Again an interesting read, though of the songs I listened to only Express Yourself by Diplo ft Nikki da B really grabbed my attention. That is a crazy tune, though more dance music than hip-hop. Have been listeneing to loads over the past few weeks.

Should probably also post this - Ryan Lewis & Macklemore's Same Love Video

Pretty powerful and well made video. They are using it to support the referendum in Washington State to bring in marriage equality.

After giving it a listen, I've started to get into their stuff. Like what I'm hearing so far.
