Same place I was peering in at over a high fence with a no trespassing sign possibly??

Snap! Here's an almost identical image from last Saturday (Junior Scratch Cup): www.flickr.com/photos/kevinmarkham/9326633510/in/set-72157634717809966/lightbox/

    Some nice photos Kevin!

One point on your comment on 16
"A good length par four, straight. The right hand line of trees is the perimeter of the course... but not OOB - just a lateral water hazard"

Obviously if you cross the boundary of the course you are OOB...you are only in the hazard if you are between the hazard line and the course boundary.

View from my approach to the 3rd in Headfort New today, fantastic course but the bunkers were brutal, some had loads of sand (fair enough at times), some barely any, some grass growing and some rock hard, 11th green worst green I've played on in many years, needs serious attention. Still a great course though, looking forward to playing it again already.

Class photo, love the new course. The 3rd isn't that bad a hole but I've ended up in that water more times than what I should have.

This is an easy one. Flat calm conditions to a wide fairway, nothing better

I played there back in February (after a long period of heavy rain). That 3rd fairway was like a giant bunker and there was a temporary green in front of the water (taking the water out of play :() and it had a bucket of a hole (not that I was complaining after I birdied it ;)).

But I particularly liked holes 7-11 on the island part, surrounded by high trees. Made me feel like I was playing Augusta National, particularly the 8th and 11th (11th had temp green as well though).

Can't wait to play there again sometime.

Played there today, Was asking about the 11th Green.

Apparently there was some sort of moss infestation, which was treated last week. Lack of sunlight due to alignment and trees, Some of the trees are protected species. Due to be forked next week.

We have a winner. Grand hole when you get your tee shot off, not much trouble by the green if I recall correctly.

Image 3 looks like Cork GC alright. Wouldn't be certain though.

Image 4 is the par 5 16th in Mahoneys Point Killarney.
